“Perfect for a romantic getaway”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 13, 2011

We really enjoyed our romantic getaway weekend at the Marriot Resort. It was beautiful, clean, and the resort amenities were delightful and relaxing. Most importantly, this is a beachfront property! What we really liked was the fact that after we checked out, we were able to continue using the resort facilities and later use the public showers to wash off.

Staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Spa is wonderful and location is just beautiful. Sure, some rainy days but watching a storm come in off the gulf is amazing.

Room Tip: May be worth it to pay more for a room with an ocean view. They are awesome.

Noramally we scramble to find a place to stay for our family when attending regattas around the country. Sometimes we still end up staying a great resort, but this time the resort actually hosted the regatta on site. Well done.

The resort has a multitude of activites for families. All kinds of action all around the resort from weddings to meetings.

Room Tip: You don't have to upgrade to an ocean front room for more money. It seems like all the rooms ha...

"Welcome to Paradise" is the phrase so aptly used when entering this resort. The hotel is beautiful. The beach is wide and white---and right there! Prices during off seasons are very reasonable. The rooms are large with separate dressing areas and all have balconies with stunning views of the Gulf and/or island views. We have been here many times and consider it paradise too! Lynn

Room Tip: We always ask for a high floor with a gulf view even when booking the least expensive rate. We have...

The Marriott really blew my mind! Everything was absolutely gorgeous and very romantic and classy! I felt like I could eat off of the floods, including the floors for the outdoor swimming pools. The beach is only steps away and off complimentary beach chairs and towels. Two fantastic swimming pools, and the restaurants are world class. I highly recommend Tropics breakfast buffet, lunch and drinks anytime at Quinn's, and you HAVE to try a steak at Kurrents. This is by far the nicest hotel on the entire island, and the ONLY place I will stay at future returns to Marco Island.

We stay at Marriott properties often because of their cleanliness and consistency. This resort was no different. Our king-size room was on the 7th floor with a spectacular view of the pool and gulf. It was clean and well-maintained; the maid service was excellent. Our room was cleaned and restocked early in the day and we had turn-down service nightly. Both pools were clean and well-maintained and there were plenty of chairs available in the sun or under an umbrella. The beach was clean and great for walking. We had the breakfast buffet most days at Tropiks and found the service pleasant and efficient. The days we utilized the pool we ate at Quinn's and had no complaints. The prices at the restaurants were a bit more than other restaurants in town but they were convenient, with good food and service. We do not go to a Marriott property expecting cheap meals. For those that don't want to pay $21.95 for the breakfast buffet, there are local restaurants such as Nene's and Susie's Restaurant. There are many good local restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner that are fairly economical (Captain Brien's, Snook Inn, Joey's). Since it was a slow time of year, it was easy to get into all of the restaurants. Arturo's was great for Italian. The hotel was completely sold out primarily due to corporate meetings that had multiple special events and weddings, and none had any impact on the service, friendliness of staff or pool activity. There was absolutely nothing to complain about and much to appreciate! We plan on visiting this resort again.

My husband and I where VERY impressed with this hotel. Every employee we came across asked how our vacation was going and if there was anything they could do to make it more pleasurable. The lobby, conference rooms, restaurants, pool areas and beach where all very clean. The rooms where very clean except for the rugs, they could of been cleaned better or replaced. They had traffic marks on them and a couple spots. We ate in every restaurant and we have no complaints about the food. Everything we ate was very good. This hotel is very beautiful with lush landscaping and lots of palm trees. With all the conferences and people who where in the hotel, you never felt crowded and wondered where all those people are. Never a problem getting a chair at the pool anytime of day. We will return to this hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the Palm tower had less wait for the elevators. But a longer walk to dinning and lobby...
