I love this place. First its on the beach. The beaches in this part of florida are perfect white sugar sand. The sunsets are amazing. The rooms are very nice. Get an ocean front if you can. The resturant is trendy and has good food. The spa here is one of my favorites. Get the couples room in the spa with the hot tub for a massage. This is the place to take someone for romance. Hotel staff are wonderful. Two pools... the one with the slides and waterfalls are more popular for kids. Thats good cause it gets the rug runners away from the other pool and me. You can hardly go wrong here. Its also LOTS less expensive than say the Ritz Carlson in Naples or the 4 seasons in Palm beach.
So take your new best girlfriend, check in friday night, sleep in saturday, breakfast in bed, then to the spa for a couples massage, then a few drinks by the pool, then dinner at the resturant there and she will think you are a god.

Room Tip: get the ocean front if you can

Stayed for one night over Memorial Day Weekend. Resort is very nice, rooms were large and the balcony had a view of the gulf. We walked around the resort, pool area was very large with different areas. The beach in front of the resort was nice and white and not very crowded since there are no other hotels near by.

I was a little hesistant at first due to some of the negative reviews about cleanliness, etc I am very picky and a clean freak and must admit the room was clean, no extra hairs, bathroom was clean, towels were also clean. We did receive maid service every morning. The resort is lovely, we booked 3 rooms for the family for 4 days and never left the resort. The breakfast buffet was good, had to crab omelet twice, excellent. The beach was perfect, ocean water very warm but that is how i Prefer it. The only negative was finding a spot by the pool, lots of people just drop off a towel to hold their chair and never return. They do have dive in movies by the pool during the weekend for the kids. Also the kids pool was great my 5 year old had an awesome time. We are from Miami and will return next year for our summer break.
Also bring your own water and snacks as you have a mini fridge to pack your drinks and a bar to place your drinks if you are bringing cocktails. The price of food and drinks is a little cheaper than the resorts in south beach miami, We stayed at Fountainbleu last month where a cocktail runs you $22.00 at this hotel they were $11.50 so half the price! They do have a nice restaurant on the beach for pizza, skip on the garlic bread it was a hot dog roll with cheese on top. Not edible.

We stayed July 14-18 at this resort, first time at Marco Beach so not much to compare it to. The resort was lovely. The rooms were spacious, bed was comfy, and view was nice (albeit of the pool). The shower was strong and the bottom of stall felt like sand which was annoying, and I had towels one day, none the next.
Other readers say pool gets booked fast, and it does. You have to be down by 9am to place your towels down to be assured a seat and even at 9am you probably won't get a shade/table chair.
The beahc is nice, water a bit too warm for me if I might say, but gorgeous nonetheless. The beach did have one area with many broken shells, caution for travellers with children as it does hurt! But once in you can walk so far out because the sand bar is far out.
The food, everything is over priced but what do you expect. The drinks at poolside bar were $11.25 each, but the liquor was top shelp so doesn't compare to an all inclusive. We had 2 bugers and 2 drinks for about $52, not kidding. But hey, you are on vacation.

The concierge was very helpful in recommending restaurants and trips out of the hotel. They have menus for everything available too so don't get stuck at the resort. They even have a shuttle which takes you to this cute shopping center on the marina and we enjoyed our meal at CJ's on the Bay. Cute knick knack shop there too.

Rent a car, drive around and check things out. Pack some water bottles and snacks for your in room fridge to save some money, and you'll enjoy your time here. Front desk were very very nice, but they did charge my CC about $400 although our expenses were $161, so don't use a debit card unless you want to wait until the charges fall off.

We will be back to Marco Island, and would visit here again but may try somewhere else.

I didn't visit the spa, but it did look lovely.

Room Tip: Pay the extra $49 for the ocean view room...it's nice to watch as sun sets.

Just back from 9 nights in paradise. This was our 3rd stay at the Marco Island Marriott and can't wait for our 4th. The property, dining and staff have been consistent over the last 3 years so I really don't have any complaints other than what was previously mentioned; at 8:00am every morning most of the prime chairs at the pool have towels on them with no one around.
While everything is on the expensive side, there are many ways to cut corners (Walmart to stock up the fridge, Alvins for everything you need on the beach) but I wouldn't miss the buffet breakfast for anything.

We just returned from a 6 night stay at this Marriott resort on Marco Island. Our room was on the 7th floor and the view of the main pool and beach was totally Awesome! We rented an umbrella on the beach, $18 a day plus tax. You can buy an umbrella at the local Walmart if you don't want to rent one but it's a bit of a walk from the hotel to the water as the beach is wide here. You get free lounge chairs and towels if staying at this hotel. The main pool is really large and nice but chairs in the shade are hard to get. The sun is extremely strong in July, the strongest I have ever experienced in Flordia and we have been to other areas just never to Marco Island before. WARNING: Load up on sunscreen the first day and everyday after unless you are already tan! The burn here is brutal! Our room was a nice size, clean and made up everyday by 1 PM. BUY A MUG for each person in the 400 Pazzi's pizza/sandwich restaurant next ot the main swimming pool, cost is around $10.50 a mug. You can refill it for free all week with soda, lemonade, ice water with plenty of ice. It's a great deal because a small cup of soda for lunch will run you close to $3.00. They are open 11:30 - 9 PM daily. The flatbread pizza here is great! The best place for dinner is Nene's Kitchen on Collier Blvd., surf and turf for $20 is sooo good we went twice. Cocomo's and Snook Inn were also very good. Seafood on the island is good just about anywhere. We found the small family owned restaurants to be the best. Self Parking is right across the street, $12 a day or valet for $20 a day plus tips, your choice. Marco Island movies is nice but real small and located at the Marco Walk which is about 3-5 mins south of the hotel. We plan to return to Marco Island, loved it!!
