We've stayed at this hotel at least 10 times and on our last trip it was good to learn that a refurbishment of the guest rooms is planned for late summer. This hotel compensates for its tired guest rooms with extremely friendly and helpful staff, and a great location on the beach and within easy walking distance of restaurants and a cinema. This hotel has a good ambiance and once the room improvement programme is complete it'll be up there with the best of the beach Hiltons. We're looking forward to going back later in the year.

Got a priceline deal for 260 total and we stayed here for three nights in early June 2012. Weather cloudy but had one good day of sun on the beach. Hotel is nice and right on the beach but upon check in found out that there is no free wifi in the room (10 bucks a night) and another 10 dollars a day to PARK YOUR CAR??? This is wrong Hilton folks. Big room and nice bathroom...we had a decent view of the water because our room was only on the 3rd floor (my wife is afraid of heights). No free breakfast and prices to eat and drink there are somewhat high. We ate out everytime to save a buck and see the island. Fitness center is very nice three treadmills, free and cold water, towels, free weights. Overall good hotel and friendly staff. Smoking (which I hate) is somewhat allowed in outside areas. Great pool and did I mention the beach is right there? Yes I would definitely come back here!!!

Room Tip: stayed in room 305 overlooking tennis court lol but still could see the ocean/gulf

We traveled 6/2/12 thru 6/9/12, this was our first time on Marco Island, & the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort impressed us before we ever got there, the concierge, emailed us welcoming us with things to do & restaurants we might like.
Tina, the concierge, was very helpful anytime you needed a recommendation on a restaurant for lunch, or if you needed her to make reservations for you.
The hotel staff all were very nice & friendly, you never passed a staff member that they did not say "Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening" with a smile.
We met Azhmet, one of the bartenders the first afternoon...he was great!! He was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, & made us our very first authentic Mojito....great!!! Speaking of that, the flags on the back of the lounge chairs by the pool...you raise the flag & the waitress, Nikki, comes & takes your drink/food order from bar...genius!!!!!!
The Paradise Cafe has a good breakfast buffet or menu dining inside or outside on the screened patio, we had breakfast every morning there, it was included in our hotel stay, the service was efficient and friendly.
We also ate at Sandcastles one evening and had a wonderful meal with excellent service, but most nights we ate at local restaurants recommended by trip TripAdvisor or hotel staff.
We were very happy with the free lounge chairs & $17 a day umbrella on the beach..after $70 a day for 2 chairs & an umbrella at other Hilton Hotels...we felt we got a bargain! Those guys who work the beach chair/umbrella hut work hard, we watched them carry up to 5 lounge chairs at a time over their head, more than once...who needs P90X??!!
One of the best things was, we would come in and shower & get ready to go out for dinner, use the towels/toiletries..leave and then by the time we get back to the room...new towels/toiletries every night...this was great!
The parking fee..well, we have paid higher...what can you do?? The Marriott down the street you have to park across the street!! Everything has an up side & a down side, don't sweat the small stuff.......$10 parking is small stuff.....1 less fruity drink...
The room decor was dated, but clean...in the renovation they need to change the layout of the room...we had a King deluxe ocean view..which had a sofa & 2 chairs, including the king bed..great in theory..roomy but not laid out well, if you sat on the couch you could not see the flat screen TV, which was aimed at the bed, even when turned towards couch...couch & 1 chair was on the same wall as TV, couch was really wasted space.
We had 2 sinks one outside the bathroom, which was great when 2 people are getting ready, as the bathroom was REALLY,REALLY small, the door barely missed the toilet by probably 1/8 inch....seriously....one person getting around in there was a challenge. All said though, the housekeeping service made these inconveniences tolerable. I always leave a list by the coffee maker the first morning asking for more reg coffee/no decaf, more sugar, etc....they were accommodating everyday, no problems.
The beach was very clean & the shelling was good, not as good as Captiva/Sanibel...which is what I measure all beach shelling against...which of course is not fair to the other beaches.
We would stay here again and have told all of our friends how much we liked this hotel & Marco Island.

This was our second stay at the Hilton on Marco Island and we loved it just as much as the first time. The hotel staff are very nice and the property is beautiful. Yes, the rooms are getting a little older but renovations are planned starting the end of summer. The beach is great and the guys working the beach chairs and umbrellas were so nice to the point they even helped us with putting our own umbrella in the sand (I wasn't paying $18 a day for an umbrella so we brought our own). The shelling at the beach is also alot of fun, the front desk will give you a tide chart if you ask. One thing I wish they had free wifi in the rooms, they do have it in the lobby but you have to pay to have it in your room. Right across the street is a cute little outside mall with some shops and restuarants. We are already planning our next trip back...just a nice relaxing couple days and we cant wait to do it again!!!

We spent our last two nights at this property over the weekend. Absolutely not impressed from the time we entered the guarded driveway. First, we were not told that the onsite parking was $10 per day for self park and $14 per day for valet. Not a huge deal on Marco Island, but it should have been mentioned when we recieved our confirmation information.
The front desk clerk wasn't very forthcomming with information, as I asked to be placed in a King room, but when I came back from the car after retreiving some information, I was never told that we were not given a King room. How can a Hilton property just have full size beds in their "Junior Suites"?? Yes, the room was big, although on the 2nd floor facing the Marriott Cryltal Shores time share property, but full size beds. On top of that they were not comfortable at all.
On a gross inspection, the room looked to be fairly clean, but the remote control look as if it hadn't been cleaned in a year, so we weren't taking any chances with it or the phone until we cleaned them both. Then there was the silver dollar sized blood stain on the carpet next to the unused bed. You've go to be kidding me!! What the heck is housekeeping doing here?? Obviously there is no supervisory staff checking rooms after they are "cleaned". If there is, I believe the should find a new line of work!! No excuses for any of the above.
The only good thing is we only had to try to sleep in these rooms. We spent the rest of our days at another property. The pool is way too small for a 300+ room hotel. They give you "Towel Cards" for use in obtaining pool towels, but reading the back of one states that if not returned upon check out, you are changed $25 per card. Plus they never asked for them at check out. I gave the to the clerk and told her that I certainly didn't want to get charged for them.
Frankly, there are lots better and less expensive places to stay on the island. Heck, I'd pay more to stay in a better place than this place. Their 2010 renovations can't come too soon!!

Room Tip: Go to another hotel where they appreciate your business.
