Review of Hideaway Beach

Hideaway Beach
Reviewed March 27, 2017

Hideaway Beach is a gated community with a beautiful beach. So you can't walk right out to it if you are not a resident of Hideaway Beach homes and condos (think $$$$ 1-9 million) I heard you can reach it by walking from Tiger Tail....but it is a very long walk. Maybe several miles from the Tiger Tail parking lot.

This beach was pretty nice. There was a lot of construction behind us. The beach itself was a little more narrow and a little more dirty than one and not as dirty as another. The parking was touch further away.

7 of us went here for their Wed, buffet and thought everything about the place was superb. We are going back next week. The place, it's setting, staff, and food were wonderful.

Hideaway Beach is a beautiful white sugar-sand, crescent-shaped beach on Marco Island's northwest Gulf of Mexico shore. Land access is only through the private club or walking from Tigertail Beach at low tide or docking a boat up to the mean high-tide mark. There is a large sand shoal formed off Tigertail and Hideaway beaches called Sand Dollar Island. It is a huge stop for migrating bird life on the Atlantic flyway. One can also anchor a boat at Sand Dollar Island to observe the wildlife but it is not advisable to walk across the lagoon to Tigertail or Hideaway beaches because strong tides come in.

Great beach for hidaway residents and authorized visitors. This beach is restricted from the general pubic. So, if you know someone who will permit you to enter and enjoy it - go for it! Great beach!
