“Great water view”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

This is primarily a park with a ramp where people can pay to launch their boats or fish from the jetty, which means it always has something going on.
People are generally friendly particularly the fishermen and it is fun to see the birds try and get the fish the men catch.
Occasionally you can see a dolphin or two if you are lucky.

“If you have a boat, or like quiet fishing, this is a good stop”
Reviewed July 15, 2012

Caxambas is nothing fancy. There is ample parking. I didn't see where you have to pay for parking, so we didn't. People take their boats out from here; there is a small fee for doing that. There's a little bait store. We met a very nice man from Naples, who was there with a relative. They had caught a couple of Tarpon from here the day before. Personally, I wouldn't spend much time there, but it's a good stop if you are in Marco.

We fished in the evening from the pier and met a wonderful retired coupon. We enjoyed taking with them.

“The most peaceful place I know”
Reviewed June 7, 2012

Although not boaters, we love to visit Caxambas Park. Not a park in the sense of grass, or playgrounds, but a place where boats come and go, and people who have been fishing can gut their catch. Also always people fishing from the deck. There are lovely water views, and I have seen dolphins there too. Fascinating to watch the pelicans when a boat arrives. They remind me of cats waiting to be fed.I have also on one occasion got very close to a beuatiful white egret. Across the water are views of lovely homes. We took a friend who lives in NYC, and his comment was that it was a long time since he had been anywhere that peaceful.

“A Boat Ramp with a Park”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

It has a lot of parking for cars and trailers and a boat ramp. The little store offers fishing items and snacks. There are several picnic tables to use.
