Four of us had a great appetizer and when the entree arrived discovered bugs on my plate. After 4 of them I asked the waiter to return my tuna, which had arrived cold by the way, because it appeared that it was the source of the bugs. The owner showed up and we pointed out the 'jumping bugs' which were now all over the floor also. After a lame excuse about unprecedented, he dissappeared and a few minutes later I was brought another plate of tuna, which was excellent and hot this time. The waiter moved us to another table, right next door, where there were just as many bugs. Excuses abounded but they were in other parts of the restaurant as the waiter admitted. First time for the season! Well we are not very demanding and took it all in stride being from the Caribbean and having experienced 'bugs'. But we were not expecting to hear the owner on our exit suggest as he pulled a 'bug' out of my uncle's girlfriends hair and examine it suggest 'Maybe you brought them with you!' They have a serious issue here and the fact that the owner won't recognize it and blames his patrons is total diregard for his clientelle. There were hundreds there living below the woodwork on there newly establishd deck. Oh yes and by the way ...they knew they were there because when we arrived my wife and uncle's girlfriend complained that the overhead fans were making it cold. The waiter did turn them down and ten minutes later they were turned back up. When we asked the owner to turn them back down.....he brought shawls for the ladies. The fans were never turned back on. They were hoping they would blow the bugs away. There were also large houseflies on the pillars. Disgusting and the owners would not accept any responsibility. In my small way I will let my friends and family know that this is not a friendly hospitable place.Bugs, Bugs, Bugs! AND THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A PROBLEM!
