Description: ANTONIO'S offers distinctively different dining experiences and one of the finest Italian market; all-in-one place. Upstairs is the RESTAURANT known by all the locals for greater Italian food, delicious fresh seafood, Certified Black Angus beef and daily Chef’s creations. The experience is uplifting and will impress with the blending of old world tradition and modern creativity. Downstairs is the MARKET & CAFE its casual yet modern dining experience, surrounded by one of the finest Italian market. Renown for its multi-awarded pizzas, the CAFE offers rotisserie chicken, appetizer’s, salads, fresh pasta’s, entree’s and daily specialties. with its unique Shop-and-dine concept you can select a bottle of wine from the boutique market and we will cork it at your table. The MARKET offers a selection of fine gourmet food imports, including Regional delicatessen of taste, authentic cold cuts, alpine cheeses, specialty products, and some rare findings.

We go to Antonio's frequently and have found it to be consistently great and economical! The restaurant is small and the tables are fairly close together, making for a warm and friendly neighborhood feel. They have an extended wine list as well as a retail section where you can purchase deli foods and Italian foods. There are no reservations, so you may have a wait. They do have a restaurant on the second floor which is more formal and costs more.

Delle.....Thanks for the kind comments. Just an FYI, the upstairs restaurant does have some more expense items on the menu like Steaks and Chops but the mainstream menu is about the same price, and at lunch when we offer a House Salad along with your entree it is a real value!
Thanks for your support.

Forget the formality of the upstairs, go downstairs and grab a seat in their well stocked wine store and deli. Almost every menu item upstairs is also available downstairs (if you ask I'm sure you can order off either menu) and you can shop for and drink the wine you purchase with only a $5 corking fee. It's my favorite Italian spot in Central Florida.

Friday nights - numerous times at restaurant by 7:00pm told there's a 30 - 35 minute wait for 3 or 4 people. Grab a bottle of wine & 30 minutes later check on seating time @ told there's stll a 35 - 30 minutes wait. Every time we've been given the same line " need to seat a 6 top" "nobody is moving" etc

Although we see numerous tables emptying we also see the person doing the seating seat diners who arrived well after our party. On each occasion seater is defensive when questioned.

Bottom line, great food & service when you get seated but the preferred seating of some patrons , despite the no reservation policy, makes this restaurant a DEFINATE pass on the weekends UNLESS you know the gentleman doing the seating.

Despite being a patron since Antonio's opening they've lost our patronage due to this ongoing practice.

Although we try to be as accurate as possible with our quotes it is not an exact science. We write down the time you arrive and what the quoted time is. If guests choose to take their time or talk for a while after finishing dinner they may not be aware of that we are on a wait and we surely would not want to rush them out. Our average wait time on a Friday at 7:00 is around 35 minutes.

We never seat parties in front of others, even if we have a 4 top table and the next name is a 2, we would have no motive to do it. The only time guests would be sat in front of you is if you were a 4 + top and we have a 2 on the list and a 2 top comes available. This does incur revenue losses for the restaurant but is the right thing to do.

I apologize if I was offensive with you. We have been here for 22+ years and pride ourselves on taking care of each and every guest, even if they take longer than you want them to with their dinner.

Thank you for the compliment on great food and service and if you do decide to try us again my name is George and I would love to get your name on the list and try to be more accurate with my quote.

We ate lunch last Friday - a group of about 10. Service and presentation was good. The food was very, very good, except one thing - which could have been me. The bread served with the olive oil had very hard crust. Meaning we dipped, but eating through the crust was a chore that I noticed the majority at our table stopped eating the bread way before the salad was served. Just an obserservation. Otherwise, the salad was fresh and delicious; the salmon I had was cooked perfectly, and the terrimisu - was outstanding. Very good and this restaurant deserves to be classified as #1 in Maitland.

Thanks for the feedback, although most of our guests prefer the very crusty bread we understand not everyone does. Have a very nice New Year and we hope to see you soon.

Antonios has Excellent Italian dinners in the upstairs restaurant a little pricy but worth it. Don't miss the wonderful dishes and sandwiches in the deli at good prices. There are also many authentic Italian food items for sale in the market surrounding the deli.
