“Just got key lime pie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

Just went for dessert. Staff was real nice. Place was packed and food looked great. The key lime pie was good. It came on a Oreo cookie crust and warm cool whip on top which did not help it. The texture and taste of the actual pie were very tasty.

“Bizarre non service waiter”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013 via mobile

After driving by on several occasions we opted to check the place out for dinner. Drawn in by the cool flame heaters & decent but not packed crowd . 8:30 at night with 3-4 tables open outside we proceeded to grab one. We sat for over 20 min with no service. Went inside to inquire about a waiter was told by a very grumpy bizarre woman that we can't sit there because wasn't superwoman & didn't have magical powers,? Then proceeded to insult the hairstyle of one of our friends & essentially alluded to the fact we were not welcome there?? We were dumbfounded ,left and found a much more inviting fun atmosphere down at bamboo bar in Johns Pass .

“GIGANTIC GROUPER SANDWICH HUGE PORTIONS,LAYED BACK!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

My whole family goes there for 30 Years. Fish and local pictures of beach keep kids busy. You always have leftovers. Once you eat the fried grouper sandwich and Bisque your a regular. You won't find these large portion sizes for even onion rings and fries baskets anywhere else on beaches. Indoor ac outdoor deck also w/ ceiling fans and umbrellas. Original Fl. cottage atmosphere. My kids talk about the fish on wall and love the coin toy and ball dispenser. Locals know it for real grouper and seafood. You won't be hungry when you leave here and mabey not for rest of night. Once you go your HOOKED like a fish! And it's the only beach restaurant that can make my husband say he's stuffed.

“Never again”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

I heard the boast about the grouper and must admit it was pretty good. However, the place was nasty, the waiter was a little odd. After clearing our table she began eating the leftovers. The scallops seemed to be re-fried. Then to finish the endevour, our check came jotted on the back of an order slip with a lot of scribbles and jibberish. Bad experience!

“A cool dive bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

A cool local dive bar with a tacky decor, great service, cold beer, outrageous onion rings and a very good grouper sandwich. If you are put off by a worn look and slightly less than a fresh coat of paint this is not the place for you. If you want a laid back vibe and good solid food check it out and ask for Kelly as you server. She is great and you will not be disappointed by dining here.
