We picked Sculley’s at random while spending an afternoon in John’s Pass in Madeira Beach. The weather turned overcast and chilly, and it wasn’t crowded. We had trouble finding someone to seat us, and subsequent service proved to be equally slow. Considering it sits on the upper level of the boardwalk, the windows are small and dark and do not afford a good view of the pass.
The food was OK, but unremarkable. The onion soup was lackluster. We both ordered bacon cheeseburgers for lunch, and they had a greasy taste. For a boardwalk establishment it was OK, but considering the tourist attraction of John’s Pass I expected more. With so many other dining choices, I’d try someplace else.
