Great place to watch sports, indoor or outdoor seating. Nachos were excellent as well as buffalo chicken. Chicken wrap was a little bland; I should've asked for some type of sauce to eat with it. There is a great outdoor dining area, which would be wonderful on a not too warm evening. TV screens are visible outside, but on a bright, sunny day, their "viewability" is affected.

We were happy to find a reasonable sized sports bar near the beach and in particular one that advertised 'smoke free'. There is a nice outdoor seating area with lots of tables - the only drawback is that there is smoking allowed - so much for smoke free. We were seated and requested a particular game on the TV set above our table (there are multiple sets) as this was the main reason to visit. It took the staff at least 10 minutes to change the channel - then immediately it was switched back - so another 5 minutes to get it back to where we desired. Ordered two beers - draft - and waited another at least 10 minutes for delivery. If the bar was even somewhat crowded we could understand but there were lots of empty tables.
The food was good even if it did take two requests for extra sour cream. When it started to rain, we moved inside and again it was a 5 minute wait to get our TV channel changed. Luckily it was not crowded. Could be a good sports bar but service needs great improvement.

We have passed by this place for years and never stopped until just last week. What we found was a great pub with great food and great service. We've now had several items on the menu and our favorite is their Nachos but their burgers are also high on our list. The atmosphere is that of a sports bar but with a tropical tiki twist. Bands are outside on the deck, weather permitting, or inside close to the bar. Overall... a great stop!!

We went here with the knowledge that this was a sports bar just off the beach, so that means our expectations were not going to be very high for ambience or great food. How wrong could we be? Restaurants have come and gone from this location, the most memorable being The Apple, but the Brown Boxer has captured the feeling of a sports bar not far from the beach and I think that is all they are trying to do!
It was a Sunday afternoon on Labor Day weekend at 7:30pm, and the car park was almost packed and the bar scene was very lively. Many TVs, a good mix of people of all ages and lots of staff. Two guys singing on the open deck outside, with melodies of Margaritaville, Wonderwall by Oasis and Cat Stevens songs to mention a few. All seemed to go well together.
And the food was actually quite good. The chilli soup was spicy and very tasty, the Napa Valley salad was excellent but the glory has to go to the Taco Fish Platter - wow. Blackened fish in a soft wrap with tomatoes, lettuce and condiments cannot go wrong!
So, if you go with the expectation that this is a sports bar just off of Maderia Beach then you will be very pleased.

The food was very good, loved the wings and the fish n chips. Service was alittle slow, but we did have a big party. I would go back. Staff was very friendly and the place was very clean. A should try place.
