This is the place to find it, but don't take the kids, the place will break your wallet. They cater to the desert crowd and anyone with a sweet tooth. Go for the icecream, skip the rest. If you offer your kids candy or icecream, they'll go with the candy, so don't offer!

All the old candies from zots to hard licorice. The ice cream and shakes are good. Its a tiny place and you can sign your john handcock on the wall for good measure! 2 tables outside for seating. Cute, fun, quick stop while you are at the beach.

This place is packed in the evenings, but it is worth the wait. The ice cream (especially the vanilla) is outstanding. It had all kinds of candies, some old toys, and the staff was friendly even dealing with a mass of people. We are going back tonight!

We recently spent the weekend in Madeira Beach. This is a nice area with plenty to do within walking distance, including Candy Kitchen. We went there two nights in a row and each night had about a 30 minute wait to order our ice cream. They had a nice variety of flavors, add ins and toppings. My wife and I each got a double cup, which I estimate to be about 10 - 12 ounces of ice cream each, and our total was unde $9. Candy Kitchen sells ice cream, shakes, malts, all kinds of candy, from the most recent to the old stuff you don't see anymore in your local stores. We will be back to Candy Kitchen and we recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Look closely, it is a small building but you should notice the line of people :)
