Owner description: The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

“Food, Drinks & Shops”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

This is a great place to take new visitors to the area. There are many great choices for food & drinks. You can spend a few hours there enjoying all the little shops or take a cruise on the pirate ship.

“Nice place to walk around and shop and see dolphins from the boardwalk”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

We get to come to John's Pass often. It is a good place to relax, have some food and drinks, shop for Florida stuff and maybe even see some dolphins from the boardwalk. They often like to play and swim around the inlet area. So you don't need to spend your money to go out on a boat unless you want to go on a boat ride anyway.

“Fun and attractive location with lots to see and do”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

Enjoy eating? Snacks to dinner, it is here. Shopping? Yup they have that too if you need anything from cheap sunglasses to tee shirts and knick knacks, shoes, etc. Pretty much the stuff you expect in a tourist area but it is pretty well done. Parking in the garage is not free but not inconvenient nor is it more than $15 for the whole day...and some businesses will comp you or cap your parking at $5 such as the Hubbards Marina fishing trips.

“Great place to eat and shop”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

There are some really nice shops and restaurants here, a must stop if you are visiting the area. I'm local and still go to John's pass at least a couple times a month.
