I took my mom on a 8am-1pm half day trip in mid-December. We had a reservation, which turned out to be fortunate because the boat seemed pretty full of people ready to get their fish on! The office staff was great, especially Courtney, who checked us in upon arriving. We were soon on the Friendly Fisherman (the boat's name!) and staking out spots. We headed to the front so we had a nice view :) and before we knew it we were on our way! There was a safety meeting/mini crash course in fishing as we headed out. Heading out to our fishing spot took about an hour, we fished for three, and then it was an hour to get back. The fishing was great! Everyone was catching fish, and nearly everyone caught multiple. The most common catch of the day was grey snapper, but many brought in some small gag grouper (I caught two!). The crew was great, especially Smokey and Monkay. Very welcoming. It was also nice to see a variety of people of the boat as well; couples, families with younger kinds, a few that came solo. Everyone was there to enjoy themselves and that's just what we did! Highly recomended, and we're already planning on returning! :)

My Husband and I went on the half day trip on a beautiful Florida December day. Captain Frank and First mate Joe made sure we had a great experience. Everyone was made to feel at ease and Joe was everywhere, unsnagging lines, bringing bait, stringing fish and doing what he could to make sure everyone was happy. The Captain would move the boat when fish stopped biting. We were at 3 or 4 different locations. Mostly caught were grunts, porgys, 1 or 2 sea bass and a couple of snapper. Also caught but released were a black grouper, as they are out of season, several red grouper which were too small and puffer fish.
Food was offered in the galley, but you are allowed to bring snacks and drinks (no alchohol). We did not order anything, so I cannot comment on the food. Bring no bananas, they are considered bad luck on a boat.
It was a beautiful boat ride and a relaxing day fishing. One tip, bring some cash as Joe and the galley worker live on tips and they do work hard for their money. Second tip, bring no gps units, captain had strong words for anyone found trying to swipe his prime fishing spots.

We had a great time on our dolphin tour. We immediately were able to see several dolphins. It was very neat to watch a pod catch a fish (baby shark). Our captains were nice and informative. After watching the dolphins they took us around and gave us some history of the area and pointed out some interesting homes. We ended the tour with going under the bridge and out into the gulf a short ways.
