“An Average Boardwalk Restaurant”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We have been to The Hut (Sculley's) many times before. On this visit we did it with 8 friends while also enjoying shopping in John's Pass. I had the lobster bisque (wonderful) and a shrimp caesar salad (average). Our server, Kathy, was really sociable, but unfortunately there was a huge mixup on every one of our checks which was blamed on computer problems. Sorry guys, but I had to ding you for this. The restaurant is comfortable and beach casual. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of great choices for 5 star dining along the Boardwalk.

“Great atmosphere to dine in”

Dolphin watching dockside. Great shrimp quesadillas , chowder. Kids liked the chicken tenders. Tropical upbeat setting. Moderately priced. Come back every time.

Stopped off here for a few cheeky beers after jet skiing via Woody's Watersports. Really good service, constant refills and 2 for 1 on wines! Came back for a meal and again was not disappointed, live music was good fun. Reggae on Monday night at "the hut, the hut the hut" great fun, good food too.

“Great atmosphere poor management!”
Reviewed June 25, 2014 via mobile

We have visited this restaurant every March for the last 3 years and every summer for the last 2. The waitress Vanessa was very attentive and apologetic for how the manager had treated us. My mother who is disabled and is a local simply asked if a gluten free menu was available and the manger Rick Butt was excessively rude. It's a shame a place with such great memories has been tarnished. This Tennessee FaM will not be back!!! Don't go if you want management that is customer service focused!!!

“Great atmosphere....Very, very dissapointing Meals!”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

We tried this spot @ Johns Pass based on a relatively good meal several years ago @ the adjoining (same owners - place called Sculleys)....This HUT served what they called grouper tacos that were described as "great" ....They were awful! The amount of fish inside was tiny...The taste was barely ok....My wife had a grouper sandwich and said it was poor!...My grown daughter had a grouper quesadilla and one could barely see the miniscule amount of fish inside!! Prices were not cheap and the food was not good....Bad Combo! The place is right on the water, etc and the service was fine...But I would choose another place to eat if I were you!
