I have lived in the Palm Beach area for the past 8 years. This past weekend I finally made it to Lion Country Safari. It is a little off the beaten path but is worth the drive. We arrived around 10am on a Saturday Morning. When you arrive you are given a CD to place in the car that give a little guided tour. You enter the preserve and there are animals every where. We arrived during feeding time. They feed the animal around were the roads are so that when you are driving the animal are literally right next to the car. We had to stop multiple time to let the animals cross the road.
After the safri is over it end at the amusment area. There is a splash pad (bring a bathing suit), merry go round, Ferris wheel and other fun activities. You can ride a camel and feed a giraffe. Overall we had a great time. I would recommend for families with younger children.More
