This was our first visit to Longboat Key and Dry Dock Waterfront Grill. I am so glad that I had checked out the reviews in advance. As we were driving along, I saw the sign and remembered that Dry Dock was on our "To Do" list. It is a little hard to find. We almost turned around and left because we couldn't find the restaurant. After you pull in, take the first left, and drive around the building that turns out to be the Dry Dock boat storage. Follow the gravel as far as you can go....the restaurant is the only thing between you and Sarasota Bay. It was a beautiful day, and we were early. We were seated next to the bay, under the umbrellas. Our waitress Kate was friendly and helped us with our selection. We had grilled grouper sandwich, spinach salad with red snapper, and key lime pie. We would do it again....delicious! Our entertainment were the charter fishing boats pulling up to dock, 10' away. By the time we finished, the place was packed, both inside and out. Don't miss this 'hidden' gem.
