We had dinner at Moore's on Saturday night. Someone in the group ordered oysters which were large and looked moist and fresh. When we put in the same order we were told the supply had run out, so we asked for crab cakes instead. The crab had a srong fishy flavor, no discernable texture, and too much bread crumb filling. Unfortunately we both ordered the same thing so there was no hope of sharing something better. The server was grumpy and the ambiance clean but unremarkable (our inside table did not have a view of the water) which would have been acceptable if the food had been good. We won't go back.

Stopped in for lunch, my wife and I decided to split the Grouper Reuben with coleslaw. I was not to sure about the coleslaw instead of sauerkraut so I asked for it to be served on the side.

I also decided to try a bowl of chowder, which turned out to be excellent.

When the server brought out our order, they had separated the order on two plates, which was great. The sandwich was excellent and we both decided that the coleslaw was perfect on the fish.

Overall a great lunch.

Note they do charge extra to split an order.....

We visited this restaurant last night and were very disappointed. As we are visitors we have not seen the extensive restaurant before. The waitress had no patience with explainations. We ordered 3 large stone crab claws at $39.00.We got 3tiny claws and knuckles. as we were still hungry we ordered dessert. The Key lime pie as mass produced and inedible. My partners Carrot cake as a bit better. Our bill came to $139 including a bottle of wine and tip.

This modestly decorated restaurant, looks out onto Sarasota Bay (one can arrive by boat & use restaurant's dock. Most dishes are fried and I prefer grilled, baked or broiled. Good traditional seafood with comfortable and clean surroundings.

We went for the all you can eat snow crab, an had to wait 20 min in between each refill of crab, no refills on our drinks, we seemed invisible to our server, you would think we would have had better service since we made reservations for our grandparents 60th anniversary, I would not recommend this place to anybody, an on another note, they where not even busy
