“Comfortable, chatty, good food”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

Good menu choices but a little heavy-handed on sauces and dressings. Had wonderful snapper there. Several different dining rooms as well as booths in the bar. A good choice for easy-going dining.

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed May 16, 2014

This place is a must if you are on Longboat. The peppercorn steak is outstanding and big enough for two.

Have been coming to longboat for years and cant believe we missed this place. Went on a thursday, no booking, but were seated straight away. Restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. Service was excellent, food outstanding.
The sweetbreads were recommended to us by a local, when we arrived we realised they were a main meal and as we had not tried them before asked the waiter what he thought. We were impressed when he said he would make them as a starter so naturally included them in our meal. This was a good move, they were lovely. We had pepper steak and duck for main together with a couple of sides. Delicious hearty portions. Will definately return but hold back on the starters - only because I want to make it to the dessert room next time!
The icing on the cake was the owners who took time out to have a chat with us and make sure the evening was to our liking. Thank you for the best night!

“Favorite restaurant on Longboat”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

The food is always great here, and the ambiance is hard to beat. The desserts are fabulous, and the drinks in the bar are excellent. This is always a must on every trip to Longboat.

“Disappointing visit. ”
Reviewed May 11, 2014 via mobile

For years I've heard people rave about this restaurant, so I finally tried it, much to my disappointment. We were seated immediately and service started off excellent, but after our appetizer, while waiting on our entrees our server vanished, leaving my date without a drink for 10 minutes. My strip steak was excellent although I was surprised that at $51 it came with no sides. A side order of Brussels sprouts was $8! Afterward we went upstairs to the dessert room. The server there was distracted and unfriendly. We both ordered bananas foster, my favorite dessert. It was the worst I have ever had, drowned in the sauce, which was lacking in flavor. Overall a bad experierience except for our entrees, which were perfect. I just expected better for a near $300 price tag.
