Even from the second floor, it's breakfast to breakers in less than a minute in a half -- imagine our shock at watching our favorite grandson sprinting down the beach without benefit of suit -- pool temperatures uneven and you have to get down early to reserve a chair, but the sunsets here are spectacular... service a bit uneven, desk closes early, maid service spotty

Room Tip: 235 allows a particularly fine view up and down the beach... lower floors do get some tracked-in san...

This was our first trip to LBK after a week-long conference in Orlando. We needed a few days of relaxation and this place fit the bill! Units are condo-style and while on the smaller side, they are beach-front and really have everything you need. Our unit did have some recent updates (new fridge, microwave, cabinets, etc.) and all utensils, towels, and so on. The beds, however, could really stand to be replaced as they were not comfortable at all and squeaked pretty loudly, but since it is privately owned I can't say if other units are the same. We loved to sit on our patio overlooking the beach in the morning with our coffee and hang out on the beach during the day. There are plenty beach lounge chairs available and the beach itself was wide and clean. The Seahorse is perfectly situated pretty much in the middle of LBK, so it was easy to get to both Anna Maria Island and St. Armand's. We will be back with our kids!

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor, but the 1st floor patios walked directly out to the beach.

We enjoyed a week at Seahorse May 11-18 2013. On May 17 we reserved a unit for 2014.
We have gone to Seahorse every year but NEVER AGAIN. On June 19, Santa called my husband and told him we couldn't have our reservation because another party always gets that room that week......it was available on May 17!!!! when Santa gave us that reservation!!!! too bad for us!!!!! Santa was just doing
what she was ordered to do perhaps.....lying through her teeth!!!

Room Tip: Room 227 was the room........there appears to be a private club you must be in to request that roo...

We just came back from a long weekend stay at this place. We had a great time relaxing, sunbathing, riding the waves, watching the sunset and grilling some yummy food. The beach is very clean and private. Pool is good although it was busy most of the time. This is a great family place too. Children of all ages were playing in the sand, digging their caves to the other side of the world. LOL!

Room was very good and clean. There is no room service but the fully equipped kitched was all we wanted. You can always go out for dinner around town. Free wireless internet access was very convenient. Most impressive is that our room was less than a 100 feet from the shore. That is very unique and special. You can go out for a couple of hours and then head back to your apartment to rest and then repeat if you want.

Service staff is the best. They are very friendly and accomodating. This is a hidden gem that is conveniently located a few miles north of St. Armand Circle in Sarasota and a few miles south of Holmes Beach. A Publix supermarket and a CVS Pharmacy are less than 2 miles from this resort. Even a Roman Catholic Church is less than 3 miles from Seahorse.

We feel that this is a good place for a short 2 to 3 days stay. As always make sure you wear plenty of sunscreen lotion. Florida sun is very hot.

Check out the pictures.

Room Tip: Each room is different. We prefer rooms on the beach level so you don't need to use the stairs...

Just returned home after another wonderful visit to this property. This time had family and friends along too, and they loved it. Thank you again to the staff especially Santa. Everything was perfect, and our stay was glorious. Cannot wait to return to this little piece of heaven on earth.

This is our third stay at the beachfront resort. We selected room 246 and what a view. Just left your head while in bed and see the waves.. We stay while hurricane Issah came by. If you want a pool and beachside that not crowded this is the place. The staff is very nice and friendly! This is our place for beach fun while in Sarasota.
