Gulf Tides of Longboat Key is a true gem of a destination on the west coast of Florida. The resort staff are friendly and eager to assist in any way to enhance their customers vacation experience. We found the accommodations to be comfortably modest and very family friendly. Longboat Key is a quaint, quiet, relaxing destination with clean beaches, crystal clear water and gorgeous sunset views.

It is always wonderful to hear that you enjoyed quaint, Gulf Tides. It’s perfectly tucked away from the busy parts of Longboat Key, but just around the corner from a Publix (a great local supermarket). Thank you for the kind comments about our Gulf Tides staff, they are always there to assist guests in any way possible. We hope to see you back again very soon, G4919!

Hotel is small and quiet. Very few children (if any) were staying there while we were there - except our own.
The only downfall is that the beach is across the street from the hotel. But, the pool and tennis courts are on the same side as the hotel, so it worked for us since we usually end the day in the pool and grilling out. Highly recommend this place!

It is wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay at Gulf Tides, Elly! The Gulf Tides resort has half the property on the bay side. The other half is gulf side, right on the beach! It’s wonderful that Gulf Tides has that variety that can accommodate all types of vacation. We are so happy that you and your family enjoyed the amenities at the resort! Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to tell us about your vacation.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Nice units, pool, beautiful beach. The continental breakfast one morning and barbecue lunch another day were very nice and allowed us to meet several other guests. Several guests had been here for multiple stays. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Some great restaurants nearby.

The resort is small but, that is what makes it so wonderful. The staff you could not ask for better folks so helpful, along with the people that stayed there it was like one big family. The studio 101 we stayed in was very very small. The kitchen was well stocked with all things needed for cooking inside and on grill, which is just around the corner. There are no stairs to enter your room and you are right on the beach which is so peaceful and quite almost like it is just yours. The pool was across the street which was no big deal not a lot of traffic. It was nice and warm. The resort does need some updating the pull out couch was uncomfortable so we slept on the murphy beds. They were ok a little hard and a pain to put up and down as they are the old fashion type from the 1970s so no spring action doing that daily sucked but the only way you had room to move around without feeling blocked in was to put them up .All in all I would definitely go back but stay in a one bedroom or one the the penthouses. I am going to mention the bathroom I know a bathroom Ha Ha but it was so tiny. That I could live with after all you're on the beach.I gave it 4 stars only because of the beds you can't change the size of the unit.

Room Tip: 20 steps to beach, sunsets wonderfully peaceful, parking steps from your door.no ac issues,

Gulf Tides is so quaint! It is a wonderful little spot with the beach and pool so close by. I'm so sorry to hear that the bedding situation was not ideal for you. The studios are small but great if you don't need much space and want to save! We hope to see you back soon, of course in a one bedroom or penthouse!
