Probably the most beautifully appointed suite we've ever enjoyed on a vacation. We booked it "free" on points so I really don't know the actual cost. Free bikes w locks, few miles biking to St. Armands circle--a must see in the area. Public access to wonderful, never-ending beach is just across the street.leave extra EXTRA time for vacationers traffic on the only access road in the area. Chart House restaurant (pricey) not far. New Publix grocery and CVS Pharmacy near by. Just a fantastic, relaxing stay!

We bought a one-week timeshare at Longboat Bay Club eight years ago because we wanted a place that'd be easy to trade. After we spent our first week there, we've gone back every year (versus trading it for another vacation location)!

Here's what we love: the staff is very friendly and responsive, the location is great -- not too far from Sarasota or Bradenton but a private area, the units are very roomy and nicely decorated, good facilities (pool, hot tub, grill, etc.) and a nice, private beach is just across the street. We love LBK, and enjoy our yearly visit to the Bay Club!

Room Tip: We love the end units (larger balcony and nice views of both bay and ocean).

This was our first visit to this timeshare (Longboat Bay Club) and our second to the Longboat Key area. And can I say just ... WOW! We've been exchanging to timeshares for over 20 years (including 4 trips to Hawaii) and this ranks as our best unit to date. The unit has 2 BR & 2 BA. Lots of closet space, plenty of lighting, a spacious living/dining room, a washer/dryer, all the kitchen amenities, table/chairs for the balcony(s). The back balcony travels the full width of the unit with access from both the LR and master BR. With our end unit, there is a small front balcony with access from the eat-in kitchen & an unobstructed view of the Gulf across the street. An end unit also gives you a side balcony that links up with the back balcony and runs the length of the LR.

It's the little things that make all the difference; from the blue bath towels, beige & pale green bed linens, a sleep number bed and double vanity sinks in the master suite to flashlights, nightlites, a dish in the foyer to place your phone & keys, artfully placed knick-knacks to make it feel like home and a journal with reviews from other visitors (add your own experiences, too). Onsite you'll find a hot tub/spa, outdoor pool, boat slips on the private bay, tennis courts, hammock, large covered pavilion, gas/charcoals grills, sheltered parking and (it seems) their own mom and baby manatee. They even have board games, books and menus to most of the local restaurants. For those who want to wander offsite, they offer beach umbrellas, beach chairs & bikes. Lisa (staff) was a great resource to catch the local news, timeshare info and to find the best places to eat/visit. We had a wonderful time and we definitely plan on going back ... soon.

Room Tip: ask for an end unit ... it'll give you more balcony space

This is our second visit to this timeshare. There are only 15 units on three flours overlooking Crane's Bay, each with its own assigned garage parking space. It's mostly quiet and peaceful though you can hear road traffic if you sit in the kitchen area. Check in is easy and we've found several good restaurants on the main road just a very few miles from the resort.

The very large units have two bedrooms, two baths, tons of closet space, a spacious balcony and even a washer and dryer. There are little extra touches that are nice, too, like the art work and artificial plants through the rooms. Internet access hasn't been a problem for me though my husband has had difficulty with it at certain times of the day, mostly in the evenings. We were told the resort is planning to change this situation in the near future. The master bedroom now has Sleep Number beds. This is one of the best timeshares I've found on RCI.

Room Tip: The highest floor, the 3rd, has the best views and best light because the trees block some of that on the lower floors.

I have owned this time share since the 80's. We bring our extended family every other year and have a terrific time. Our unit is on the end and is huge! It has a terrific balcony that wraps all the way around the unit mostly overlooking the bay and even has a small balcony on the front overlooking the ocean. The grilling area and play ground are very convenient and make for a comfortable stay. The pool is rather small, but since there are only 15 units in the entire complex it is never over crowded. The free use of the bikes and beach toys and chairs are a nice added touch! The staff have always been more than helpful.....we really enjoy our time there!

Room Tip: Ask for an end room. I don't know what the middle rooms are like, but the ends are huge and I love the huge balcony!
