We absolutely love this park. The cabins are beautiful and spacious. The perfect economical vacation for families on a budget. We visit a couple of times a year. I always leave feeling refreshed and energized. There is nothing like connecting with nature and spending quality quiet time with family to help you appreciate all that you have.

We went here to see what we could find to do with the family. Seemed like a nice little area. Could use some more tables but over all it was ok.

The campground here is lush, verdant and peaceful. The hiking trails are extensive and interesting and worth the effort. There is great history and enthralling nature here. We've enjoyed seeing the deer family with it's baby feeding in the evening and early morning. There are numerous gopher tortoises here and they love to come out around dusk. The river is majestic and mezmerizing. The RV sites have on site sewer which is always a plus for the RVer. If you're looking for the right place for an extended stay any time of year, this place is it.

We stopped by Suwanee River as a break on a long ride. The park is about fifteen minutes off 75, but is worth the diversion. The park is beautiful. While small, the park has a number of trails of different lengths, some that skirt the river, others that meander through the woods. The two trails we hiked were short and perfect for walking with kids. The bugs were bad and bug spray is a must. in addition, there is a nice playground for kids, plenty of picnic tables nearby, and swinging benches that overlook the river.

The park is situated near an old railroad track that was defended during the Civil War. Although subtle, the earth works created by the Confederate Army are still there. It would be nice if there were some more information on the history, but still an interesting point of history.

Although we didn't make use of them, there are cabins in the park that look nice and a boat ramp. Make sure the check the conditions of the park since the ramp might be closed if it's rained a lot recently.

We stayed in cabin #4 in May during the week, and loved our stay. Other than a few campers, we were the only people that rented any of the cabins, so we had peace and quiet. The park is small, but beautiful. The rangers were very friendly, and showed us where the best place to watch the sunrise was. The cabins were very large and well worth the $100, especially since that is the price of a hotel room! There was a huge screened in porch where we watched birds and fireflies at night, especially since in the evening and morning, it was cool enough to relax outside.
The cabins are well kept and perfect for a romantic getaway. We will definitely return!
