have been going here for over 20 years..great location and energy. It's been a year since I went there as I moved out of the area. Was told to sit anywhere which was fine, waitress came over in a decent amount of time. ordered a Pino Grigio, got a Pino Noir. Ordered their classic Bahamian Conch chowder with the side of sherry. First spoon was good, and then the Thyme kicked in. So overpowering the sherry couldn't balance it out. No bread, rolls or follow up on the chowder, which I didn't finish. Tasted like medicine with so much thyme, no green peppers, not much Conch and way too many carrots. Ordered Calamari appetizer , THIS WAS HEAVEN ON A PLATE. However server was so busy talking to coworker, it was not hot, and never followed up on chowder, which i would have wanted a credit on, or something else. Came to follow up after I finished calamari. Asked if I wanted to take conch chowder with me, and noticed I was not thrilled. Gave me a NE clam chowder to take home. Well, in my life of being from NE, and living on Cape Cod, I have never had a chowder that was so thin , with carrots, celery, no CREAM, and agian TOO much THYME. This is NOT NE clam chowder. Wont' go back... They redid the decor, looks nice, but the food is not what it used to be. Too bad.
