We came in for a late lunch and were very pleased with the food, which came in large portions and tasted good. The pollack and cod were excellent, although I wasn't so crazy about my son's tilapia which was a bit on the fishy side. My wife's blackened flounder was very done and tasty too.
The restaurant was a bit on the warm side because they were having problems with their air conditioning, although the fact that half of the air vents were closed may have been a contributing factor to the heat. Service was a bit off and had some attitude, but it also may have been a combination of the heat and a packed house with the after church crowd, so I didn't ding them for it in this review.
If you're looking for a good fish fry, Cedar River is safe bet to satisfy.
