This is a beautiful, well kept BW plus in the heart of Leesburg. The hotel fell short of a 5 rating because of the check in experience, however, the hotel made up for the "lack of hospitality and understanding" with a beautiful, clean room, well designed hotel, comfortable bed and delicious free breakfast buffet.
The check in experience-Below average at best.
The front desk attendant recognized my rate as AAA and demanded a AAA card. I explained that I did not book a AAA reservation, but an ACCESS reservation. This was not familiar to the FDA and he immediately quoted a rate for 25.00 more than my advanced reservation rate. To make matters worse; upon convincing him to call the reservations number, the reservation rep was not familiar with the rate code either and was smug saying I was trying to "cheat the system" by booking AAA without being a member. Long story short, after talking to her manager and he talking to the Hotel manager, indeed, my rate did exist and 45 minutes later, I had a key to the room.
Advice: Carry a paper copy of your reservation to the hotel to eliminate rate confusion.

The room experience- Spectacular!!!!
Contrary to check in, the room was fabulous!!! It was huge with a comfortable king sized bed, all internet access, flat screen tv, a chaise and desk. My daughter fell in love with the chaise and spent most of the leisure time in the hotel on it. The room was really clean and modern. The bathroom was large. Refrigerator and coffee maker were avail also.

The breakfast experience- Yummy!
All the basics ( cereal , eggs, meats, toast, waffles, etc) set up in a beautiful restaurant area. Very tasty and included in the rate.

The check out experience- Fast and friendly
The hotel extended a late check out until 1pm.
The same gentleman who checked us in, checked us out. Very friendly and apologetic about the check in experience. It was very nice of him to do that. Check out was quick and painless and we were out the door in 30 sec...

Overall- YES for the area!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are quiet and peaceful.

We usually stay at a competitor's hotel when visiting Leesburg, but this time we noticed the rates at that hotel had skyrocketed, and Best Western sounded good with a rate $30 per night lower, so we gave it a shot. Good call. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was spotless, linens sparkling white and soft, bed was extremely comfortable, a/c unit worked efficiently and didn't keep us awake. Wi-fi worked perfectly, too. The breakfast bar was well stocked and clean, and the seating area was uncrowded and comfortable. No need to pay $30 more to stay down the street.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was good and location was quite close to a surprising restaurant. The only thing was the phone kept conking out because if their internet was down the phones went down - quite a problem when you are making real estate arrangements. Also despite having verbal confirmation they would match the managers special price given on the phone to the managers special price given me over the internet (at the same internet .com address that they e-mailed to me) they refused it - it was $100.00 difference. Felt this was very shabby as we stayed a week.

Room Tip: Room was nice and quiet & away from elevator. If you are bringing a lot of clothes bring some h...

The staff was friendly. Beds were great. The breakfast bar was well stocked. We had a room right by the elevator which on a weekend night was very busy. During the week, we never even heard it. Enjoyed our stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. They were very accommodating to our needs. We had the unfortunate event of our vehicle breaking down while on return home to Ontario,Canada. Therefore required a place to stay while our vehicle was in for major repair. We were in need of accommodation for 3 adults and 2 small dogs. We were very fortunate that they allowed our pets to stay with us. We were also provided with a connecting room for my Mom. The rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable. Wifi was also provided in the room and we were able to connect with family in Ontario, Canada. Breakfast was provided every morning free of charge. Staff was very friendly and understanding.

This was a spur-of-the-moment stay for us, as we needed to visit the area for a funeral. The hotel was packed, and although we couldn’t make an online reservation, we were able to reserve our room by calling the hotel directly. Catherine, who answered the phone, was very friendly and helpful. Although we had questions and uncertainties about our plans, she treated us with kindness and patience as we weighed our options and ultimately made our reservation. The only room available was a king whirlpool room, which cost quite a bit more than we would have liked to pay, but given the last-minute nature of our trip and the lack of any other hotels in the area that appealed to us, we took the room.

When we checked in, the man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I must say, the employees at this hotel are some of the friendliest, nicest folks I have ever encountered!

The hotel has interior hallways and a beautiful lobby. In addition to the breakfast area, there is a children’s area with cute kid-sized furniture. There is also a bookshelf where guests can take or leave books.

Our room was large and clean, and the furnishings were modern. One thing I really liked was that the bathroom sink had good lighting. The carpet was not all flat, but instead was of a raised texture that was soft and comfortable. The sink and tub provided instant hot water with no delay. One thing we learned (by mistake) is that there is a master switch near the door that controls some (or all) of the other switches in the room. Keep this in mind if you try to turn on the bathroom lights and nothing happens!

Breakfast consisted of cold cereals, oatmeal, make-your-own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links, grits, assorted pastries, juices, coffee, yogurt, canned peaches, and fresh cantaloupe slices. I am pretty picky about scrambled eggs, but both the scrambled eggs and the grits were really good.

Our room faced the front of the hotel, and there is a restaurant/bar just across the parking lot. The one disappointing element of our stay was the loud, booming music from this establishment, which we could hear in our room in the evening, until it stopped at about 10 p.m. If I ever stay here again, I will request a room along the back of the hotel.

The entrance to the parking lot is near an intersection, making it somewhat tricky to turn in and out sometimes. However, there is a side entrance through a white fence on the south end of the parking lot, which we found very helpful.
