“Can't wait to go back....could not have been better!!!”
Reviewed April 2, 2009

My boyfriend and I just returned from a five day R+R at the High Noon. We arrived early afternoon on a Saturday--the room was ready! After a quick setting of my bill, it was play time. It is the most relaxed we have been in months. This little gem is spectacularly clean. The grounds are impecable, and the staff are understated yet attentive to your needs. We had room #7 (hotel-type room). After seeing the other rooms available with kitchens, more room, it would have been awesome to have one of those, but alas...it was just what we needed. Everyone is sooooo friendly here. There are dozens of regulars that appear at the same time every year (you have to book early). Every person we met was friendly, warm and inviting. We met a great couple from Indy and had a great time hanging out with them. Country Ham and Eggs diner across the street was great...as was Arubas. Everything was within walking distance or a quick cab ride. You could do everything or nothing at all. It's your choice. The pool was lovely (just redone- as was the balconies on the second level). The pool temp was lovely and tepid in temperature. The beach is lovely--albeit not the sugary sand of the carribean, but nice just the same. Sunchairs were always available. No need to run out and mark your spot. The Novaks are super nice owners. We asked for a late check out and they were happy to oblige. Our flight didn't leave until later that evening but it wasn't a problem. You can leave your belongings safely in the room adjacent to the front office. We reserved a spot for next year..and hopefully we get in. Can't wait to return!!!!

your first impression is with the staff when making the reservation. Maureen could not have been more helpful and nice. the room seemed a little pricey, but.....
checking in, we met Maureen and she allowed us to pick between 2 rooms they had open. it was just my 15 y.o. son and i traveling and the first room in the high noon resort was on the first floor and by the pool. when we walked up to the room it was being cleaned and we were invited in by the staff, very friendly again. we did not like that room because it seemed to be a gathering place by all of the people staying in that building (this hotel is a group of smaller hotels, now grouped as one), half of them were smoking.... next we went to look at the original room that was booked, and took, #42, a very small room with a queen bed, in the Sea Foam part of the complex. they moved a roll-away in and it did fit, barely. not a room for light sleepers... at 5:20am be ready for the garbage being picked up. this hotel backs up to Aruba, a beachfront restaurant... the beach in front of the hotel gets filled with people parking at the pier, or in town, and coming over. the pools are clean and warm as is the entire property.
everything appeared to be new and renovated and located in a very nice part of the area. very quiet, not a place for noisy kids.

We just came back (to Boston) from 5 nights at the High Noon. We had an efficiency apartment in the "Sea Foam" building. It had a very comfortable king bed, a kitchenette (with stove, sink and refrig.). The room and bathroom were recently updated and extrememely clean. The room was very quiet. It had an exotic, calming, tropical garden just outside the room, with tables and chairs. Just a few feet away was a nice, warm pool with plenty of deck chairs and tables; and just a few feet further away was the gorgeous beach! Unlike most of the nearby hotels, the management supplies sand chairs to bring to the beach. The grounds are perfectly maintained. The staff is pleasant and helpful and unobtrusive. The clientele that we met was normal, pleasant and courteous. The entire stay was perfect. it was so relaxing to go from room to pool and to beach without going up and down an elevator or cross a street. It was also nice to pick up food at the local Publix and have it for breakfast and lunch, at your leisure, (in your bathing suit).
I give the hotel 5 stars and would recommend highly to anyone. It is also close to everything.

My wife and I, in our sixties, stayed on the 1st floor of High Noon for two weeks January 2009– our first visit having driven down from Central New York State. We chose the place after careful study and comments on this Web site. We were in no way disappointed. We wanted a place that offered ocean front beach and heated pool and can’t image a more convenient location of both. We were about thirty barefoot steps from our room to the beach and I was walking the surf edge every morning at first light and in the full moon light. Two beach cleaning tractors are running back and forth every morning. The nearby fishing pier is an attraction 24/7 if only to feel the ocean breeze and almost touch an occasional Pelican resting on the railing.

We agree with ALL the positive comments made here so no need to repeat and the photos here only hint at the beauty and cleanliness of the place night and day. Our room nicely furnished-- drapes, crown moldings, tile floors, marble top vanity, bathroom and efficiency kitchen nicely furnished, up-to-date.

Busy, affable owner Paul is around most days from early morning to evening and is never too busy to converse and make recommendations. We enjoyed viewing his album of photos showing how the High Noon exterior was completely revamped and enhanced last year.

We did NOT see ANY bugs dead or alive in our apartment. Paul told us he has a scheduled regular exterminator visit as a preventive measure and one showed up going from room to room while we were there.

The convenience of restaurants where different live bands perform in the street every Friday and Saturday night until 10 PM, and shops, especially the Kilwin’s confectionary and ice cream shop around the corner, are added attractions. A visit to the nearby Publix provides the fixings for meals in your room when eating out becomes too much of a threat to your waistline.

We've arranged to come back next year. One couple we met from Indiana has been coming to the High Noon for 24 years.

  • Liked — access to ocean and beach
  • Disliked — can hear loud conversations and noiise around pool when inside room on first floor facing the pool

Stayed at the High Noon for 3 weeks this time, previously stayed for just 2 weeks. Once again absolutely love the place and the area. It's a family run business and nothing is too much trouble, everyone always has time to stop and chat.
Recently they have done a fair amount of work to the place which I believe caused some disruption, but it was well worth it. There are now brilliant balconies to sit out on in the evening watching the sunset, and the pool area is lovely and relaxing.
maybe slightly more expensive than some places, but you are paying for location, and what a location, slap bang on the beach.
We love the relaxed feel of LBTS and the square is a great place to eat, drink and relax.
Missing it already, and planning our return in 2009.

We just got back from a great vacation at the High Noon Resort in lovely Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. We had #23, which is actually part of Nautilus (one of the buildings), facing the ocean. The two-bedroom apartment was great for my husband and me and our 3 kids. We grilled on the patio, built sandcastles, enjoyed the pools, and walked to cute restaurants and shops. It was clean, and the staff was friendly. Well worth the price to stay right on the beach.

This hotel was perfect for our family of 4 for Thanksgiving week. We stayed in room 32 in the Sea Foam section which was right next to the pool and one of the closest rooms to the beach. Our girls are 5 and 7 so the convenience of staying in a one level hotel couldn't be beat. We could easily go from the pool to the beach to the room in just a few steps. Our room was a 1BR/2bath apt. with 2 queen beds in the bedroom and 2 twin daybeds in the living room. We loved our stay and will be back.

  • Liked — Cleanliness and convenience to the ocean
  • Disliked — Lack of "healthy" restaurants nearby
