We had lunch here one day. Clams and Crabcake sandwich were great. There is a great view of the beach and lots of outdoor seating. We had a very attentive waiter named Sean who was very informative about the area. They have a band I think everyday to get you in the Island spirit. It's packed on the weekends.

We decided to try Aruba`s based on reviews on this site. We went in on a Tuesday at about 6:30pm. It was busy but not crazy busy. The gal at the hostess desk asked us to follow her to our table. She saw that I was using a walker. She ran ahead of us, weaving around tables and chairs. It was not possible to keep up as I had to have other guests get up, move their chairs and a few had to move their tables. She took us to the very back of the restaurant, the farthest table from the restaurant entrance right beside the bathroom. It was so close to the bathroom when the door opened it was just inches from the table....not a nice `atmosphere` for super. There was no place to put my walker......my hubby was so ticked off that we just turned around and left. Shame on you Aruba`s !!!! Went up the road and had wonderful service and a wonderful meal at Athenas.

Great venue for a few early beers after a hard day on the beach.
The live music helps this place rock from early doors and has a great view of the beach, sea and pier

Talk about atmosphere! This restaurant is located right on the beach at Lauderdale by the Sea.
The size is deceiving from the outside as there is plenty of seating both indoors and outside.
There are two different bars inside and they looked like everyone was having a great time!
Our lunch was awesome- the portions are huge and delicious. The menu offers a variety of specialty drinks- the rum punch was refreshing on a warm Florida day!
After lunch we can continue to hang out on the public beach right in front of the restaurant. There are lots of other restaurants and shops in that immediate area to browse around.
I thoroughly enjoyed this place and recommend it to anyone visiting in the Fort Lauderdale area.

First night in Lauderdale by the Sea, went to Aruba Cafe as it was recommended to us by our hotel. Well, it was dark, loud, drinks were weak and the prices were high. Service was good, but could have been better.
Hubby order Seafood Stirfry and it was full of red peppers...which he dislikes very much. I ordered the Sirloin steak and it came on a bed of gross onions, peppers, and not sure what other stuff as it was so dark I couldn't see. Steak was ok, and was about all I ate as I dislike onions and peppers. Ate some of the fries. Also ordered coconut shrimp for appetizer...way to much breading.

We asked to be seated outside, but it was so dark and chilly we then asked to be moved inside thinking we would be warmer and could see. Nope, moved us inside in a way back corner where it was still dark and drafty.

We are here for 2 weeks, but won't be back there again!
