“Loved this place right on the ocean!”
Reviewed July 18, 2011

Front desk recommended this place to eat! Very nice! Hard to find parking, but the restaurant is a very popular place to eat and enjoy the ocean view. Their seared ahi was delicious and the fish was very fresh. Calamari was plentiful and lightly breaded, just the way we like it. The decor is eclectic, very fanciful and tropical. We really enjoyed our dinner there and then took a stroll on the beach at sunset!

“GREAT BEACHSIDE FLAVOR WITH GOOD FOOD”
Reviewed June 25, 2011

As soon as you arrive you will realize and appreciate the surroundings. Come on!, your right on the beach, steps away from the sand with a view of the fishing pier. Every time we have visited Arubas we always notice the crowd. Usually after 6 pm you will be in for a short wait for a table. They do have some bar areas where you can sit, have a drink and listen to a little live music. I guess you can have your food at the bar, but it will be a bit more comfortable at a dining area table.
The atmosphere in the dining area is laid back. The dress is from shorts to suits. The service has always been attentive. The food prices are on the mid to moderate side, but you can find things on the menu to satisfy most food tastes and price considerations. A must starter is the Bimini Bread, but be carefull, it is easy to fill up on it.
One bit of advice, if you intend to Valet park your car,($5 minimum) be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes for its retrieval. There is public parking in the area.

“Pleasantly Surprised”
Reviewed June 23, 2011

We had not been back here in about 2 or 3 years, the last time the food was not that good, but some friends from out of town were staying in Pompano Beach on vacation since they were staying near by and they wanted to dine near the ocean we took them to Aruba Cafe. The place was packed but to my surprise there was no wait on a Friday night and they also sat us outside. Our Server was friendly but it seemed like he had a lot on his mind, but that was fine since we enjoy conversation with our pre-dinner and don’t like to be hovered over. Each couple had an order of dozen oyster, we were given 16 or 18 but that is because they were extremely extremely small for my taste.(the only negative). I had one of the best Portobello Mushroom Burgers ever, ordered it Medium and that’s how they brought it, nice tender and juicy. My husband had a Seafood trio, which I believe brought Shrimp, Mahi and scallops, it was grilled very nicely. Our friends also had a burger and his wife had some Asian Shrimp salad, which she loved. The plates were very generous, there was a party next to us that had ordered the Prime Rib which looked very delicious also, which they shared because the prime rib was plentiful. Very lively atmosphere live I remember, I recommend eating outside if possible, because it is pretty loud inside with the DJ and the dancing…Dessert was also very good! Oysters were market price, each couple paid about $100 with tip, we all had about 3 drinks each --I think LOL

“Loud, colorful, crowded & fun”
Reviewed June 21, 2011

Not so much a family place. It is a young crowd, live music, and busy. There are some unique selections from the menu. Happy hour / early bird specials are only available at the bar where the kids aren't allowed. We enjoyed it, but will likely try to ditch the kids next time.
