This tiny restaurant is near Commercial Beach, the perfect place to stop for some gourmet Mexican; nothing fancy, but great tacos and guac, and really well-done for the value (open tacos with everything piled on top and plenty of chips). The one flaw is definitely service and management; the line is really confusing as in when/where to order, if we're waiting for food or being served, and when/where to pay, not helped by the apathetic waitstaff. It's understandable because the manager/owner was extremely rude about us moving a chair over to make a table bigger, and then just extremely obnoxious to his employees and customers. The service needs some work, but the food is great.

Many people walk past JoJo's and think that it's just a place for a quick taco and chips. They could be correct, but the truth of the matter is, this special little place is so much more. Owner and chef, Joe Parsons brings his extensive experience to the forefront to make this a gastronomic delight for those who know and appreciate fine food. While the Tacos are delicious, it's the specials that frequent the menu that are the real treat. Joe is imaginative, and has an uncanny ability to blend flavors that will leave even the most jaded critic smiling. Lastly, if Joe seems busy, or unable to chat, that is because he is making sure your food is the centerpiece, not socializing.

This is a really cool looking place. It's neat inside with a nice cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food doesn't match up. I like that they offer "different" type things, but none of what we ordered was good. Have to pass on this one.

Good food....BUT, a $5.00 taco. Really? Was expecting an oversized taco....not the case. Strange reception at counter..."my specials", "my tacos". not sure who she is, but everything appears to be hers. Also told us we could go sit at a table to look over the menu. There was no one else waiting. Chips and salsa were also good, BUT, large bag of chips, little plastic container of salsa. Hard to believe this place is successful at these prices. Probably won't go back.

Decided to walk in on impulse, and so glad we did. Everything we tried was delicious. Salsa, queso, and fish tacos! It was the best food we had in the Lauderdale by the sea area!
