“dont let the pictures fool you!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

My husband and I went by the reviews listed and the pictures of the Inn. I am guessing the pictures of the rooms and pool area are very old photos. The place is in need of an overhaul. Out of the three buildings one is closed off for safety issues with notices posted in windows and yellow tape blocking the stairways. the pool area furniture is all beat up and the wicker lounges brocken in spaces with cushions that dont really fit the chairs. Cracks going down the buildings with rust stains, Walls that should be repainted, shutters that are cracked and broken, awnings ripped, adirondack chairs outside your room door with broken slats where you sit. Main lobby where they have a complimentary breakfast of bagels and muffins, coffee, juice, milk, cereal has a real mildew smell. they state they have lounge chairs for the beach but if there are more than 4 people staying there you are out of luck. the kitchen in our room was very out dated. the freezer need to be defrosted and the door would not shut. The ice maker was by the pool but did not work for the entire week we were there. The pictures show nice white down bedspreads but our was a thin coverlet with holes in it. On the first night I had a huge bug land on my arm while in bed and brought it to the office and was told would take care of problem in the morning. Ended up having to change rooms and was charged addition money. I would have cancelled and gone to another inn but they have a no refund policy under any sitution (you rented it you own the room). They also state that pool and amenities are for registered guests only and no friends or family are allowed to use the amenities. Yet on Saturday a person was allowed to rent two rooms and had over 50 people there between the pool and beach for a huge birthday party. The parking was terrible since they only have so many spots and this persons guests took all the parking I ended up being blocked in with cars parked behind me. The only thing I can say that is good about the inn is the location. If you want a really good place try the beachside resort across the street or the half moon resort down the street.

Dear Little Inn guest,
I am very sorry you felt the need to write a very lengthy unhappy review. I would like to clarify some of the content that you wrote about.
The building next door that is taped up and roped off is for your guest safety. That building is called A Little Inn Too, and is undergoing renovations as many hotels in this area perform renovations during the summer months- since that is the time of year that is appropriate for such repairs. That hotel is having new railings and roof work done, so we are very sorry for the visual aspect of this during your stay, but at no time should this have affected your stay at A Little Inn. It is a separate property and has no reflection on a vacation at the original Little Inn. I feel badly for your comments as it is a separate property. Little Inn – where you actually stayed will also be going thru some minor repairs this summer….as you suggested needing paint and some minor concrete repairs. But this too is a normal OCEAN FRONT property item.
The beach chairs that we provide for our guest are not left on the beach. These chairs are stored behind the seagrass as you walk out to the beach. This is done for the SEATURTLES that nest on our beach from March until October. If we left the chairs on the beach it would cause harm to the endangered species we try so hard to protect. This was explained on your arrival.
We hope you will return and see all the wonderful changes that will be made this summer.
Thank you for staying with us!

We booked one of their BeachFront suite, Room 110. It was right on the beach!, It had one bedroom with a King Bed, a small kitchen. The bathroom and living room were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were a bit dated but acceptable .The safe box in our room did not work.
There were four of us, two slept in the master bedroom while the other two slept in the living room where there were two couches transforming beds

The location of the Motel is great, with nearby shopping center and diners. The pier is within walking distance. Friday and Saturday Nights are filled with music, dancing and a great atmosphere right around Commercial Blvd.
The Motel staff were very friendly and helpful. Renee in particulalry did everything she could to make our stay comfortable.
Dean helped with some minor issues that we enountered.such as the back door lock not functioning properly
Eva was also very attentive and responsive. She helped us with everything we needed, from beach towels, to extra sopas and shampoo
Free Breakfast in the morning from 8:00 am to 10:0 am consisted mostly of of milk, orange juice, coffee, muffins, bagels, bread , cereals and apples.
Renee always had fresh baked cookies by her desk.
While we did not use the pool, it was kept very clean.
Free Beach chairs were always available
They also had free bycicles if you desired to take a trip nearby

The only inconvienece we found was that If you arrived before 3:00 pm, their standard check in time, they will give you the choice to wait for the room or check in and be charged $10/hr

Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stayed at Lillte Inn by the Sea. The convinient location, proximity to the beach along with quiet and relaxing atmosphere joined with the great customer service and nearby entertainment far outweighted the minor hiccups,

One little note: there is single and double parking. Since we parked in the single spot, and we didn't have the need to drive, there were no hassles. But if you park in the double spot and needed to drive I could see how could potentially turn into a hassle.

me , my husband and our 2 year old were staying in a 5 star hotel down the street from little inn (it was ok but had nothing we needed, fridge, microwave ect..) for two days and then came to this adorable place and spent a week. i LOVE this place, we felt so at home and the view was amazing. we had everything we needed for a kitchen (which saves alot of money on vacation). The staff was very nice and i will be comming back next year. its perfect. the only thing was the light in the bathroom went verry dim untill the day we left the light was bright again.lol idk.. but it wasnt that big a deal. if you want top of the line high class, valet type place this isnt for you. but if you want a relaxing, home away from home, getawway; this is the perfect spot. The age of the place shows because of it being so close to the beach, but thats what i love, Place has character

Room Tip: the room we stayed in was the room with a baclony facing the beach and had a kitchen. perfect for us

My husband, daughter and I spent a week at Little Inn By the Sea and we had a wonderful time. The people running the front desk could not help you enough. The accommodations were great. Beach and pool steps away. Complimentary breakfast from 8-10 everyday consisted of coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins and all kinds of cereals. No need to go out and by breakfast. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Had an efficiency room by the pool and made it easy access to beach also.

Seriously I"ve stayed all over , both good & bad hotels, motels, resorts....but NO A/C, RAT DROPPINGS, MILDEW SMELL, OLD EVERYTHING, BRICKS TO HOLD PORCH DOOR OPEN, & yes theyll tell you they have "updated" some rooms, but that wouldnt matter, a new TV or some wicker chairs isnt near enough. Its ashame cause in its day it was amazing & with some caring owners it could be fabulous place ! You can see no one cares, thinking same uncaring owners as ( Villa Caprice) also Lauderdale-by-the sea ! Best part is ( NOT) they wouldnt refund my money, Im not kidding I was there for maybe 30 mins...( Of course my Credit Card refunded me) I did get a discount rate to like 80 bucks, but I wouldnt sleep in those beds for free !

This really is a lovely location, and it seems that it would not take that much money to polish it up. The first night we were there, we encountered noisy young people, yelling in the corridors, slamming doors until all hours of the night. My husband needed to do work on the internet, and there was no internet to be had in the entire hotel; further, there was no staff on hand to complain to. He ended up going to an environment which was uncomfortable to him to do very pressing professional work--a smoky bar, which he had to run through the rain with a laptop to find. Bookit.com had advertised the hotel as having "complimentary wifi." This was a real problem. The beach is beautiful. The pool was kept beautifully clean, but it was uncomfortably cold. There were no flat-screen TV's; normally we can watch movies with our computer. Can't do it here. We used the kitchen to cook, although one of the burners did not work. The bedding is outdated and ugly, especially for Florida. Dark maroon bedspread, instead of a light Floridian theme. The people were accommodating, when they were there, but the place just needs some more money put into it. Breakfast was very basic--nothing hot or proteinous. It was sadly not up to the standards I expect from a Florida vacation. Needs some real TLC from management. Speaking of management, Brent was as nice as could be, and really very helpful.

This nice, cozy and family friendly hotel, is my perfect get away from home! We live 12 mts away
from the hotel, and have visited it about 15 times on the past 5 years. We love this please! not only because of their awesome location (front of beach), but also bc the amenities, nice pool area, clean cozy rooms, staff is super super nice, and my family loves it!!
We can't wait to go back, and we will, because prices are affordable on times like this. I give this beautiful place 10 points, and I recommended to every one, even if you live close by, but no close enough from the beach, this is the place to go!!!
Also wanted to thank the staff for making our and each stay a pleasant and comfortable experience, specially Rene, because of her personality and awesome coffee!!

Room Tip: I recommend room #204, bc it has a great view of the beach and pool area.
