“Love this place”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

I go here at least a every few months with my kids. I like going to the events and any little fairs. It is well maintained and kept up, there are good, subtle changes that take place to make the experience more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I REALLY love the hands-on, live museum experience. There's not many places you can take kids to learn about the past, where they can actually take part and enjoy.

“Historical homes nice visit”
Reviewed March 31, 2012

Too bad tripdavisor has an average rating, then very good. I would say this was good-in between average and very good. If you are a history buff and need a break from beaches and theme parks, this is a lovely way to spend the better part of a day. It is free which is very nice! Nice walk (would be hard for handicapped). The homes are from different settlers from Florida, some are reproductions like the schoolhouse. Only a couple of homes were open with a personal tour which were scheduled. Many were not open to walk around in. There really is no place to get a bit to eat but picnic tables so bring your own snacks. You can also walk through the botanical gardens which were disappointing.

“Hertiage Village”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

This is how FL used to look (100 years ago). If you get a good guide, it can be really interesting.
