Great food..nice view and friendly staff.Lobster Benedict was my favorite. Mimosas and watching the ocean waves crash on the shore make this a romantic place to go with someone special.

If you are visiting the south Florida area - and want an amazing by-the-sea casual (and I mean really casual) meal, the Dune Deck is the place to go! The DD has been in the same location for years but the sea wall which protects the eatery from the ocean recently was bolstered by the Army Corp of Engineers. The resulting improvements makes the DD an even more enjoyable location!

Actually, the restaurant now sits atop the new retaining wall - just a few yards from the Lantana public beach area. The ocean views are spectacular and the location is a cinch to find. Ladies, don't go to the DD if the sea spray will do your hair in----- you are that close to the sea!

The Dune Deck is open daily for both breakfast (served all day ) and for lunch. The menu is fairly standard but they also offer terrific daily specials. Recently, a large, open-air bar has been added to the dining room making the whole complex a bit larger - and very appealing.

Remember to bring lots of quarters with you as the Lantana public parking lot adjoins the DD but requires quarters in order to feed the meters. We spent $1.25 in quarters to buy 2 hours of parking time.

On weekends, the wait time is sometimes more than a half-hour (even in the summer) - so be prepared.

The food at the DD is just delicious. one of our friends ordered their special French Toast and loved it! I had perfectly cooked blueberry pancakes and crisp bacon. The DD also offers several good selections on their kids' menu. The cost is more than fair, the views are awesome and the fun is built-in.

Grab your swimsuit, coverups, shorts, and a hat and head for the DD for a fun and delicious adventure. You'll be glad you did!

We would definitely return for another enjoyable breakfast. Everything on their menu sounded enticing, but we three decided on eggs Benedict, stuffed French toast and Corned beef hash. All three meals were very good and filling. They do serve a hearty breakfast! Even though it was a drizzly June morning, we enjoyed being right on the ocean. Two of our group were formerly local residents now living in Vermont. This is a great breakfast destination that one might not discover on their own unless they were staying at the Ritz Carlton, frequent the beach in Lantana or live in the area. You will not regret an enjoyable breakfast at Dune Deck!

The Greek Yogurt platter is the best breakfast in all of our SOUTH FLORIDA! I could eat it every day of my life!

But bring cash - they do NOT accept credit cards nor do they have an ATM!!

They're also known for their eggs benedict - many varieties. Come hungry but not too hungry - they're popular and often have a line to be seated.

A great location, too bad the food is just fair. If you go knowing that you're paying for the view of the inner coastal, you'll be fine.
