Big bar scene which is not for us plus the food was not very good..Fried fish coating was gooey and fish has no taste. Service was indifferent.

We went into the bar to have some food and see the change. No real change. We ordered a lot of food. We were with some other people so we didn't want to say anything. But we left and through all the food in the garbage.

The all-you-can-eat fish fry caught my husband's attention. They served basa, and kept it coming. Fries were excellent. On the waitress's recommendation I had the fish tacos, which were very tasty; served with beans and rice, which were a bit too spicy for me. Unless you enjoy too-loud rock music and cigarette smoke wafting from the nearby bar, I'd skip the al fresco seating overlooking the parking lot and go for a table in the indoor dining room, which is attractively decorated in wood tones and nautical theme, and with a much lower music speaker level. Service was friendly and timely.

Having changed names to Jack's Grumpy Grouper instead of the Grumpy Grouper and having moved across the street from 3rd St to a new place on the Dixie Highway just south of Lantana Rd, Jack's Grumpy Grouper's fried grouper is amongst the very best--huge portions (easily for two people), delicious cold slaw, lovely atmosphere--we highly recommend this new old restaurant. During the season, very crowded so go early to avoid a long wait.

Went here with friends and ordered grilled scallops which arrived cold and raw in the middle. Sent them back and they were finally returned after the other three in our party had finished eating. My french fries were cold but the scallops were finally cooked. Not going back.
