The atmosphere is awesome and the people are very friendly! They have karaoke and live bands that perform (some nights I could even hear them from my house!) Good food.

We went there for lunch on a whim. I'd seen the so called great reviews and figured why not give it a shot, after all, we live 10 minutes away... Right ... WRONG!

The place looks like one of a hundred beach front Tiki Bars, not bad if you look out onto a nice beach, but here you have Land O Lakes Blvd traffic rushing by on one side, and a small so called lake view behind.(it's buzzing with bees)

The back patio is suffering from severe wood rot and probably should be torn down and replaced, or at the very least undergo a major repair, as even when the most slight waitress walks by it feels like you are going to fall through the decking.

Now on to the food, ugh...

We all had different items and shared everything so I have a pretty good idea of what is happening here:
We tried the Patty Melt, Uke's Burger, Potato Skins, Uke's Seafood Chowder (the only good thing on the menu) Fried Fish Basket, Grouper Nuggets and a salad.

The beef used in the burgers is pure crap, it looks like beef paste, and has absolutely zero tast, no amount of salt, pepper or other condiments is going to help these tasteless messes. It was the same on both the Uke's Burger and the Patty Melt, also the sauteed onions had a nearly mush like consistency as if they were cooked and heated for hours (or maybe days)

The Baked Potato Skins were like last nights leftovers that were reheated in a microwave, the potato skins were wet on the outside, the potato was a pale, dry mess (really looked like it was taken from the trash) the cheese was either barely melted or going bad, and I don't even know what kind of bacon they use, but NO!

The Fried fish is something from the bottom of a fish tank, a greasy, tasteless mess. (totally inedible)

Pretty much anything that came out of the deep fryer was nasty.

The salad is nothing but shredded lettuce and over ripened tomatoes.

The only decent thing was their "Uke's Famous Seafood Chowder" we all tried and liked it, and the service and servers are fantastic, very fast and courteous.

The tap beer is "Skunked" the lines need to be sterilized and sanitized. If you must go there, then drink bottled beer.

Over all, I must say: AVOID THIS PLACE, you are better off going to Wendy's !!!

Always fantastic food, atmosphere, music & service. The seafood chowder is the best I have ever had in my life. I have never had a bad meal here and love the laid back atmosphere. It is simply the best in Lando.

The restaurant and watering hole with the most atmosphere. Located literally on the lake (the back room extends over the water) is the best kept secret in the Tampa area. People travel from all over Tampa for Bryant's homemade Seafood Chowder. The burgers are huge and everything is more than reasonably priced. Most dinner are under $10 and the drinks are even more reasonable. If you want a parking place make sure you show up early, as the owners hire the best bands in the Tampa area and after 9 the place is packed and rocking. Dee, a life long resident of Tampa, knows the best musical groups and Bryant or Dee are there to greet each customer that arrives. My favorite: Shepards Pie or Old Fashion Pot Roast. Don't worry about desert, you won't have room. If you stop at lunch, you will meet Kathy. She has been nominated in the Tampa's best bartendar contest the last couple of years.

We went for a late lunch. I have special dietary - and they were all met with a smile. The food was hot, delicious and fresh. It is a nice little location too, sitting out on the deck overlooking a little lake/pond. Portions are well sized and prices are fair.
