Reserved this hotel thru its web site. Room was great for the ADA accomodations, Did'nt have iron, the front desk immediately brought me one. Wish there was a fridge and microwave. The room next door had noisy kids that were un controlled. Other than that I would stay again. Keep up the fire and passion front desk.
My family needed a long-term stay while our father was in the hospital in Lakeland. We luckily dropped into the La Quinta to check on rates and were pleasantly surprised by Amber, at the Front Desk, who asssisted with a very kind manner and attention to detail.
We had been spending long days at the hospital so we were thankful to come back to the La Quinta at night and find our room very neatly cleaned and a welcoming smile at the front desk by all the Guest Service Staff. The rooms and beds were comfortable with contemporary designs and ammenities. We were not there for leisure, however, all the public areas including the pool and jacuzzi were neat and clean. I would highly recommend this property for its customer service as well as the atmosphere and comfort of the product they offer. You can definetly tell that this property has strong leadership as the staff seems to be empowered to make decisions in order to ensure expediant customer service.
From check in to check out it was pleasant. The staff was attentive, courteous, and friendly. There was slight disrepair and some updating needed but nothing that would overshadow the warmth of the staff and the comfort of the room. The beds and linen were extremely comfortable. Had such a pleasant stay
A recent stay in Lakeland, FL resulted in an overnight at La Quinta. The hotel was very conveniently located at the exit from the Interstate (I-4). Beyond that, there is not much to distinguish this hotel from others. The lobby is large and open, serving also as the breakfast eating area. There is a pretty fountain in the center a focal point while eating breakfast. The food was minimal; making your own waffles was complicated by there not being anything to spray on the waffle iron. As a result, the waffles stuck to it.
The room itself was spacious and comfortable. I especially appreciated having electrical outlets attached to the good-sized desk so you don't have to search on hands and knees for one. The bathroom was large and had plenty of mirrors. However, there was no exhaust fan, so after a shower, the mirrors were useless for about 5 minutes. The king-size bed was tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. This room had a fridge which actually kept things cold! There was also a coffee maker which was virtually useless: there was no carafe, so one cup at a time was brewed into disposable cups. The coffee itself was tasteless.
This was the first time my wife had ever stayed in any La Quinta hotel. It met our basic needs, but we would not spend more than one night unless we had to.
