Hollis Gardens is a beautiful photo spot for anyone who is visiting Lakeland. It is a great place to take the entire family as there is a water playground next door and a lovely lake promenade to take a stroll.

I love lakeland
Stubbled on this park while looking for a Roman Catholic Church for Sunday Mass.
After church we used the park for a picnic site.
There was live music and freindly people.
Thank you lakeland

What a beautiful city asset. The grounds, garden, lake and buildings are well maintained and enjoyed by everyone. Spent a couple hours there. Saw weddings, children's birthday parties, showers and family photo sessions. all taking advantage of the setting.

The gardens are pristine and everything is pretty much in bloom at this time of the year (mid March). It has a wide variety of unusual plants, flowering plants and shrubs, fruit trees, grassy areas, herbs and vegetables, water features, a fountain, several works of abstract sculpture, and music playing throughout the gardens. All this is contained in a relatively small area (1.2 acres) with cement pathways winding around and through the gardens making it accessible for all ages. You can see everything in maybe fifteen minutes (or less) - or spend a tranquil hour or more. There is a nice view from the gardens of Lake Mirror, a very nice bistro right next door, and you are only about two to three blocks from central downtown. There is parking close by off of Orange Street. You can walk in from downtown (5 minutes) by going around the Lake Mirror Promenade. You can even arrange (for a fee) to be married there. In good weather, this is an ideal outdoor place to visit and relax.
