“True hometown experience.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

A pleasant welcome by hostess. Friendly staff.
The Owner of the restaurant (Dwayne) came by our table and welcomed us and Actually THANKED us for dining with them. WOW! When was the last time that has occurred in the chain restaurants? Dwayne introduced his self and was genuine.
The meal we had was just right. And OH MY the pies!!!
A return trip for sure.

“We will be back (soon)!”

Reececliff Diner & Grill
6960 S Florida Ave.
Lakeland, FL 33813-3317

We’ve eaten at the ‘newer’ Reececliff’s twice recently and both times found the food and service to be very good. The original Reececliff’s has been in the downtown Dixieland area for years. According to their Facebook page they have been around since 1934 serving a variety of home cooked meals of the All-American Diner & Southern Style variety. It appears they have managed to bring all that ‘goodness’ with them to their newest addition.

They have a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options to satisfy almost any taste. On our last visit my wife had the pork chop with green beans and black eyed peas. I had the 8 oz chopped steak smothered in onions and gravy with mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. All delicious. They offer a unique cornbread (looks like a small pancakes) which I liked but the wife prefers the ‘sweeter’ kind.

Prices are fairly reasonable for most of the items and the staff is friendly.
PS: You may have to wait a little as this place usually has a line (but seating is fairly fast).

We will be back (soon)!
