This is located near several restaurants and about a half and hour from Disney. They had been recently renovated but there were lots of little things that I think they missed out on to make the hotel a lot nicer. The elevator was very slow but at least it worked. Most importantly it was clean and if I was going to be in the area with my puppy again I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast (continental) was included which is nice for most travelers.

This place was very convenient to I-4. When we pull into the parking lot, the exterior of the building looks pretty nice. Check in took less than 5 minutes and we were in our room in 10 minutes even with only 1 slow elevator. When we went into the room, it was fairly roomy and clean. As you walk in, the bathroom is on your left and the sink is to the right outside of the bathroom, which we like. We had 2 beds and each bed had 3 pillows. Other amenities include coffee maker, iron with ironing Board and even a microwave and refrigerator, which I did not expected. Our only minor problem was that our bathroom light was out, but they replaced the light bulb in 5 minutes and was very friendly and even ask us if we needed more towels, which we did. Our room also had a connecting door to the next room if you needed 2 rooms and wanted this feature, but we did not. We did not use the pool, so I can’t really comment on it, but it was on the side facing I-4. At breakfast, there were make your own waffles that were pretty tasty and we were lucky that there were only 2 other people there on a Saturday morning at 7:30 AM. There were only about 6 tables of 4 in the breakfast room. On their website, they advertise pastries, but were not. They had toast and bagels, cereal, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, sausage gravy for biscuit and juice and coffee. Checkout was slower than check in because they were short handed. The person working at the front desk was also handling the breakfast area.

Nice new renovated rooms. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Only drawback is breakfast area is crowded. We were there for the revival and they had directions available to the church.

This property appears to be a favorite with Truckers. Beware with your younger children as "Trucker language" is prevalent in the lobby area...where breakfast is served.

We had a non-smoking room that had clearly been smoked in (and they were unable to remove the odor). They had a "glitch" with the phone system so the message waiting light flashed for the 4 days we were there and the high speed wireless was problematic.

Just returned from two nights at the Baymont Inn in Lakeland, Florida. The room was clean and comfortable so it was indeed more than I expected for the price. However, if you're traveling with a pet be aware of the inn's pet restrictions (which are not posted on the inn's website or stated at the time of check-in).

I have stayed at several pet-friendly hotels where you can leave your pet unaccompanied while you have breakfast and in some cases while you go to the Disney parks. At this Baymont Inn in Lakeland, FL, you cannot leave your pet unattended in the room (not even while you have your continental breakfast in the dining area). You cannot bring your pet into the dining room where breakfast is served due to sanitation reasons, which I understand. Therefore if you travel alone and own a pet you may not be able to enjoy this inn's breakfast if you don't have a pet-sitter. My only complaint is that I wasn't informed of this policy when I checked into the Baymont Inn and the website does not make mention of this either. Apart from this issue, this Baymont Inn was clean, comfortable, and a nice place to stay while in the Lakeland area.

On other side of Lakeland, away from downtown, futher east on I-4. Nice, clean, served its purpose. I got it on that hot hot opaque website for $54 a night for 2 nights. Continental breakfast was a joke. But got what I paid for, no thrills, clean hotel in Lakeland.

We checked in 9/03, went to the room and requested another it smelt so bad of urine. The next room was ok, but so run down and musty and dirty we checked out. Our allergies just couldn't take it. The blankets and sheets on the beds were in despirate need of replacing. I wouldn't use that old of bedding at home.
