“Impressed my NY friends!”
Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

We've been wanting to try food here because of so many people recommending it, but had yet done so. Our friends came to visit from Long Island & wanted pizza. So we decided to do take out. We were not disappointed! The pizzas were delicious & the extra cheese topping was clearly there! Will be back soon!

“Fiorella is a Lady”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

You are greeted at the door at this neighborhood restaurant by Fiorella in person. Vivacious and with a smile she is pleased to seat you. The restaurant is generally bustling.
The most wonderful Italian dishes and pizzas come flying our of the kitchen. Fiorello's husband runs the kitchen.
The menu is quite extensive. There is a reduced price early menu. Our favorite dish, and we each order one, is Chicken Scarparella on the bone. This comes with either soup or salad.
I just learned from a friend who has been a steady customer of the restaurant, that when his wife passed away a couple of weeks ago Fiorella sent trays of food to the "Shiva" home gratis.

“Must Try”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

Friends recommended Fiorella's and now I know why. Probably one of the most extensive Italian menu I have seen. Definitely a neighbor hood gem with a lot of regulars. Got there about &;30 and all the early birders had left. Had the Linguini Frutti di Mare ,calamari, shrimp, clams & mussels in a light marinara or fra diavolo sauce which was very good. My wife ordered the Chicken & Eggplant Parmigiana, huge portion. Dinner come with soup or salad and a side of pasta. Also good garlic rolls.

Limited wine selection but their corkage charge is only $15.00

Reviewed May 24, 2014

1st visit tonight. not on a main road---you have to know about this restaurant to find it --yet it was packed. strong regular cliental. Wonderful home cooked italian food. Good service and atmosphere.
Basket of homemade garlic knots as soon as you sit down. Highly recommend the pasta figiole soup, talipia and chicken. Large portions--no room for desert

“Nothing special”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

The restaurant was recommended by an acquaintance so five of us decided to try it out last Saturday night. We arrived and were seated immediately even though the place was extremely crowded. We were seated in the main dining room rather than the incomplete addition ( not very appealing in its unfinished state). We ordered and were served our beverages and garlic knots. BEWARE: Their garlic knots have loads of fresh, not baked garlic and are extremely strong. We like garlic but 4 out of the 5 of us thought they were too overpowering and did not enjoy them. We shared an antipasto salad that was very tastey and enjoyable. Our entrees consisted of a calzone, lasagna, chicken parmesan, chicken Florentine (the broccoli as a side had loads of garlic as well) and another chicken dish were all good, not great. The portions were large but who wants a lot of only average food? The prices were a little on the higher side. Service on the other hand were terrible. We had to ask for beverage refills, silverware, and our meals came out sporadically. The calzone was served first, approximately 12 minutes prior to the next entrée. The next four entrees came relatively closer in time to each other. There was a lady that seemed to be either the manager or owner, but for whatever reason, never once came over to our table. So you ask, would we go back? All of us agreed that we wouldn't. Just no reason to. There are other Italian restaurants that have better food, service and prices.
