The Bok tower not many tourists have heard of this attraction, it's known as the singing tower at half past and on the hour a tune usually a well recognized piece is played throughout the gardens, and at 1 pm there is a half hour of music played . The tower is erected from pink marble and has a gold paneled door quite beautiful. There is a moat around the tower and the man who paid for the construction is buried in front of the tower.
There are walks around the grounds all planted by him many years ago. It's quite peaceful and if you love wildlife and gardens with the added attraction of this beautiful pink tower then it's a must visit .
The visitors centre has a small picture museum telling the story of the man and the tower, as well as a gift shop with a varied selection of novel gifts and plants. Please remember for British customers you cannot bring plants home.
There is also a lovely tea room cafe with a selection of food and drinks.
There are restrooms at points around the gardens and should you be handicapped then a buggy is available free to take you to the tower and return you to the visitor centre when you have had enough.
Unless your on a trip then you will need a car to visit this attraction as it is quite some way from orlando it's self aprox 1-5 hours drive depending on how quick you drive.very near what used to be Cypress gardens ( now Lego land).

We visited Bok Gardens in April and thoroughly enjoyed it! We arrived early, which I highly recommend as it can get quite warm. The gardens were just beautiful! They have a small museum that was interesting, and gave the history of the gardens as well as the general area. We would have loved to go into the Tower, but I think it's only for special occasions.

It's simply gardens. A complete range of Florida's flora. Laid out in a compact walking range. Walk then sit for a while, listen and observe, as the the creator intended. Revel in the differing environments all with the bells laying a unique landscape.

I visited Bok Tower Gardens based on TA reviews. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but well worth the visit especially if you are in the area. It is a 'zen' experience, the peace, quiet and stillness are almost strange. This is as far away from 'civilization' and consumer culture as you can get unless you are scuba diving. Take a moment to sit in the "Window by the Pond'. A lot of thought went into this place. Will be returning in the cooler months.
