“Best Restaurant in Lake Pan?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

If this is the best restaurant in Lake Panasoffkee, don't stop to eat in Lake Panasoffkee. Waitress was a magician as she disappeared for long periods of time and when I finally got her attention she seemed annoyed. Wasn't like the place was crowded; 4 or five tables waited by 2 girls. I ordered the fish sandwich and the fillet was the size of a small bream. Even worse the meat was mushy and translucent; which means it had been frozen a long time. You are better off eating at the truck stop down the road.

“Pleasant Surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

A friend suggested we stop here while in the area and what a pleasant surprise! I'm not a catfish lover but thoroughly enjoyed the catfish fingers, hush puppies and fries. Deep fried to perfection, the fish was tender and there were plenty of them. An unexpected but very welcome surpise lunch in Lake Pan.

“Looking forward to going again”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

We choose to try Catfish Johnny's because they had both Gator and Frog legs. I am so happy that we did. The servings were HUGE. We could have easily shared platters and still had plenty left over.

We loved the corn fritters and recommend them. The hush puppies and honey mustard had a bit of a spicy kick to them. Overall, everyone was happy with our meal and we all agreed we will go back again.

“A Visit to Old Florida”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Not too far off of I-75 on C 470 lies a touch of Florida history. Catfish Johnny offers deep fried catfish plus other treats form the fryer. This is a pleasant place to visit...a trip back in time. The food? Maybe a little over cooked, but the atmosphere makes up for the cuisine shortcomings. Worth a visit for lunch.
