“Outstanding!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

I have eaten lunch there several times now and the food is consistently good. Great pulled pork, jalapeno sausage and sides. Very reasonably priced and good service. I liked the "Howdy Y'all" sign but maybe I'm just a "Bubba" at heart. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal, good service and reasonable pricing.

“OK value and casual atmosphere”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

This is a local spot at the end of our road. Last night was the first time we visited. We were skeptical as were many locals when they put up a hokey sign over the door that says "Howdy Y'all"...it scared many off, back to the local BBQ standby up the street. We had a shrt wait as there was a coupon special going on. A full order of ribs, 4 sides and 2 pieces of bread for 20.00 - feeds two. We chose the Dry Rub ribs. They were very good although very salty. I do not use salt, although my partner is a salt-a-holic and she even commented on how extremely salty they were, not just once, but also today, when she was having the leftovers for lunch. The 2 breads we chose were one slice of garlic toast - great, and one slice of jalapeno-cheddar bread - blah - will not re-order that one. And thats what we got - 2 slices. The four sides were as everyone else has written - just ok. We had fried okra - same as everyplace else. BBQ beans - they are much better up the street at the competition. Friend corn - tasteless. and Potato cheese casserole - was cut up potatoes with like a cheese-whiz poured over - just left them. We both ordered soda and it was really flat - the carb may have been going on the machine. The staff was friendly and came back often to check on us. They also serve beer and whine and have sports on the TV at the bar. I will give it a second try, but only with another coupon.

“Great BBQ choices and comfort sides.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012 via mobile

Six of us stopped in Sunday afternoon. We hit a great special $20 for a full slab and four sides (feeds 2). Not everyone ordered the special but everyone was satisfied with their choice. We enjoyed all of the homemade sides. It is not a veggie out of a can. They were all very flavorful! We will make a trip back here in the near future.

“Best Ribs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

I have visited this restaurant three times. Because the dry rub ribs are so terrific, this has been my choice each time. All the sides are fresh, creative, and tasty. The homemade breads are delicious. A nice selection of beer and wine. The staff is a very pleasant mix of BBQ joint characters. The service is good, the restaurant is clean. If you are looking for good food, an enjoyable atmosphere, and a little local color, this is your place.

“Fall off the bone ribs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2012

A really fine addition to the restaurants in The Villages area. With so many bland chain restaurants, it's nice to have an independent restaurant to patronize.

The servings are a good portion and the food is quite good. I really like ribs I can eat with a knife and fork, and these fit the bill.

The restaurant is recently opened and well maintained. Prices are quite reasonable.

Pam, our server, was really terrific.

Definitely worth a visit.
