This should be classed as a motel, and a low class one at that, the rooms are awful, damp patches on the ceilings and walls, awful smells, filthy bedding, and extremely unsafe for children. They seem to like digging holes all over the property and "fencing" them off with a strip of plastic tape. This hotel was a total disappointment and does not even deserve a one star rating.

Stayed here in January 2005

Where to start?????

Dirty, shabby, filthy, mouldy, smelly rooms. Dirty old bedding with matching stains. Unhelpful staff, shuttle buses a joke

Trickle for a shower erratic water temperature

Even the cockroaches looked happy when we evicted them!

Hotel undergoing renovation really it needs ripping down

Spoilt our holiday next time would pay a bit more and get a real 3 star and as for a Virgin flagship it should be sunk!!

We arrived at the hotel from the UK and were tired and a bit emotional! but we found the staff extremely sympathetic, friendly and helpful. The room itself was more than adequate for my family of 4. Clean and tidy with no sign of the expected plumbing issues that I had read with horror. The hotel was set in lovely surroundings. The pool area was beautiful and the Pool was crystal clear. I would gladly reccomend this Hotel to anyone.

OK for the money - would return. Close to everything. You get a nice clean room, decent service, and a few amenities. Good/Safe place for young kids - no problems.

Stayed from February 20 -25, 2005. Had a fine time. Room was very clean though it did have a type of musty smell that could have been from the pool or the shampoo they use on the rug. After several minutes in the room the smell was not detectable.
Our room was on the second floor facing one of the pools. The view was very nice and the place was laid out very nicely. The location is very convenient to disney and local shopping. There is a 24 hour walgreens adjacent to the property.
We did not have any of the problems listed by others. The refrigerator in the room was large for a hotel room refrigerator and nicely hidden inside a cabinet. The air conditioner at times was not as effective as I would have liked.
They did tack on $3.50 a day for whatever they call it. The continental breakfast was actually pretty good.

Overall, we had a nice time and I would return again.

I have just returned with my family from a 14 night stay at La Quinta Lakeside and found the hotel to be more than OK for our needs. I was concerned to read the negative reports before I went and was a little apprehensive when we arrived but all in all the hotel room, staff, facilities and location we all really good. The slightly damp smell in the room was caused by the air conditioning unit - not a problem, just turned it off! Some people just like to moan - what do they expect for the price? You get what you pay for and in my opinion the hotel did everything possible to make sure we had a good stay.

After driving for 12 hours and arriving at this hotel, I cried. First room was so moldy smelling, we returned the keys. Second room, coulnd't get in the door. Third room, very musty and mold smelling. My daughter has asthma and can not tolerate any mildew or mold. Priceline would not refund my money. Days later Priceline is offering to give me a half price credit (as if I would use them again!!). Also, this hotel is rated at 2 stars and we paid for a 2 and 1/2 star hotel. Thank god for Holiday Inn. Disgusted from New Orleans; 2/4/2004
