Staff was very nice. Our rooms were in newer units and were very nice. We particularly liked the lay out. TV was very small in guest bedroom but the one in the living space was very good. Office with free internet service was a plus. We attended a sales promotion with a breakfast. Breakfast was just ok. Sales information did not entice us to purchase. Resort is very close to Epcot and that worked out nicely.

Stood here couple of times in the last three years. The area itself is pretty clean. The staff is pretty friendly. The rooms are big and clean also. The pool area is nice, i do agree with another reviewer though that they have tiles around the pools and it doesnt feel safe at all. Especially for little children who like to run, it gets slippery when wet. The three bedroom condo has plenty of room. The kitchen is fully equipped so if you want to cook you can. I like that besides the pool area they have other things for children to do. Would come back again.

When we got to the property to check in we find out the travel agency had booked us in for the NEXT WEEK! UGGGH!!! Easter weekend, in from Maryland and no reservations! Panicked, we spoke with Sobiesky and Amanda. They did a great job of helping us and accommodating my family and I. We had a phenomenal time. The pool was wonderful, the staff was so nice and and the accommodations were fantastic! We plan on coming back every year. Thanks Sobiesky and Amanda-- you are awesome!!!

Everybody at this resort was friendly, but one stood out above the rest. We were very fortunate to have front desk agent, Marta G. step forward and help us throughout our entire stay. From the time we arrived to the day we left, she was always the one who went out of her way to make sure we had the enjoyable stay we had.

Room Tip: insulate for sound doesn't take much noise to upset the other occupants in the building

We have been staying at time shares for the last 6 years. We were gifted this resort and it is by far the worst resort we have stayed in. I will try to cover everything for you!

Grounds: If you like tennis, there are plenty of courts. The grounds are generally well cared for but somewhat crammed. The pool area is very stuffed with two pools, the bar, only one hot tub, the gift shop, activity center and spa. There are too many chairs and foliage in the area. The pool area needs updating, with cracks, peeling paint etc. The beach/lake area is not well cared for at all. It is a shame that Wyndham has let it deteriorate so much. There is debris all over, including trash. The lights don't work in the area and there are no chairs to use the beach. We did rent the swan boats and bikes, which were fun.

Rooms/condo: Where do I start?? We stayed in both buildings 19 and 21. Both are older units and need much much much updating. Our first unit in 19 was hot when we walked in, about 75 degrees. We turned the a/c lower, unpacked and went out for a bit. When we got back, we put our 5 year old to bed and noticed the heat was at 81 degrees! We called the front desk and they sent maintenance right over. Maintentance was very helpful and courteous. They were also very aware of the problem. Apparently, this particular A and B unit were run off the same a/c unit, but the A unit, since it was much smaller, would get much colder. So the people in A were turning the heat on to try to get their unit above 65, meanwhile, it was making our unit 81 degrees! The maint. guys "fixed" it so we had cold air. The bedroom window was broken so it wouldn't stay open and the blind only went up on one side! The front desk offered to move our room the next morning, but we declined at the time, since our neighbors moved out and we were fine the next day. The following day, new neighbors moved in and we had the same problem. We called the front desk and got a new unit in building 19. All the staff we spoke to were well aware of this heating/cooling problem, so I am at a loss as to why they didn't fix the issue and/or continued to rent the room out?? Seems like and upper management issue. Unfortunately, we lost a half day packing and unpacking again.

We were given both the A and B side in building 19, so we wouldn't have the heating/cooling issue. These units needed more remodeling...avocado green furniture, stains on the couches, cracked floor tiles and old office chairs. The chain on the fan broke off in our hand when we tried to turn the balcony fan on and the dryer took 4 cycles to dry a load of clothes. The bathroom in the smaller unit was borderline gross, with old fixtures and stains.

On the pro side, the king beds were somewhat comfortable. The smaller unit beds were right near the elevator, so you hear every ding of the elevator as well as everyone getting on and off.

Staff: The front desk, facilities staff were courteous and helpful. Kudos to the guy who runs the swan boats and bike rentals. He was very nice and helpful and went out of his way for our family. The college age kids who run the pool activities and crafts were clearly just collecting a paycheck. Most had to be interrupted from their cellphone when you needed something and they barely looked at the kids when "helping" them with crafts.

Timeshare sales: Since we were gifted the unit, they wanted us to go to the breakfast pitch. We declined. They did call us on our last full day and tried to get us to go the following day. When we told them that we did not have a great experience here and were not impressed with Star Island or Wyndham, the response we got was: Wyndham uses Star Island to bring in new clientele. They bring people over to Bonnet Creek so that that the clients can see what a "nice" timeshare resort is. What a terrible attitude, and I am disappointed that I the timeshare exchange was used here. The clientele was also not what we were accustomed to at other resorts we have stayed in.

Payments: We were able to use cash, credit or room charge where-ever we went. The only place with a mandatory gratuity was the bar, at 18%. The gift shop had your basics, nothing special here.

My recommendation, if you are a time hare holder used to classy, well kept resorts, do not stay here. I am sure I will get a response from Wyndham, similar to all of the other responses, but flat out, Wyndham is well aware of all of their issues but declining to improve the problems or property.

Hi Krista,

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear our amenities did not meet your expectations. We are also disappointed and that you experienced some difficulties with your unit A/C and a broken window. Although management was able to move you to another unit, we know this provided a major inconvenience and you lost vacation time during the move. Please know this is not our Wyndham standards. We strive to provide a home away from home to all our guests with satisfactory facilities and accommodations. We will ensure management checks on the maintenance issues to eliminate any future occurrences. Please note we are always working to improve our resorts and your feedback helps us to do so.

We checked into our room which was beautiful! However, about an hour later, the people in the room next to us checked in...and they were SO LOUD. Their kids screamed at the top of their lungs and my husband went into the hallway and asked them to please stop. They apologized but it started all over a few minutes later. Finally, we went to the front desk to see if we had any options. Amanda, the front desk agent was sooooo helpful. She quickly offered to move us to another room with no hassle at all. She actually moved us to a better room, with a better view!

Room Tip: Bring bubble bath because the big jacuzzi tub is awesome!

Booked a three bedroom for April 13 ,2014. Arrived on that day at 10:00pm. They gave us a room on the third floor (no elevators) next to the karaoke building (very loud) Walked in and a roach ran under the cabinet in the kitchen. Called the front desk and moved us to another room on the first floor in another building. Walked in and smelled mildew. Went in the bathroom and a roach ran under the garbage can. I stepped on it, put it in the garbage and brought it to the front desk and asked for my money back. At first glance place looked nice but go at night and look closer. Needs updating and pest control. conditioning units leaking. Mildew. Roaches, major yuck. Had to find another resort in the middle of the night went to the vistana villas in Orlando. Was beautiful and roach free.

Room Tip: Don't Go there

We are so sorry you had to spend even a minute of your vacation dealing with insect issues. We know this must have presented an extreme inconvenience during your visit. What you experienced is certainly not our Wyndham standards. We take the health and comfort of each guest very seriously. Please rest assured that our properties work closely with environmental health professionals to effectively intervene and manage any potential infestations.
