“Another Wonderful Visit”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We've been visiting Cypress Cove several times a year over the past 15 years. This visit was special as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary as a surprise to my wife. We checked in late having just returned from a cruise. Flowers I had ordered in advance were awaiting us in our room along with an anniversary gift basket compliments from the Cove.

Bad news, then good news... The villa rooms definitely need some updating. We didn't spend much time there but they are very old. However, the staff keeps them very clean as is everything else at this place. We met a lot of nice people...learned about the naturist lifestyle...saw all sizes, ages, handicaps, etc...food was very good and reasonable. The staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. Our friends had to leave due to a death in the family and the staff (and other resort customers) couldn't have displayed more concern.

This was my husbands and my fist time to the cove. We were greeted warmly at the gate with a smile where we were helped with the paperwork. Then we went to the office where the warmness continued, We were given a quick tour due to rain, but the friendly staff was helpful if we had any questions. The weekends are fun with lots of stuff to do, the food was wonderful at Lakeside the portions were great lots of food, we did not eat at Cheeks just got drinks, they were good and not overpowering. We went for our anniversary and the spa was wonderful the ladies there were sweet and knew what they were doing. Rates were reasonable. Wonderful family atmosphere.

My husband and I have been comming to The Cove for 7 years now..We live in St petersburg Florida and even though there are other Nudist Resorts alittle closer to us..we choose The Cove as our spot..We have been to a another place..BUT was NOT comfortable with the "agenda" that was presented by the visitors!! We feel The Cove offers a Safe/Fun/Experience EVERY TIME!! Also the variety of food is wonderful and the service great!! The Cove does NOT overcharge for meals and serves nice portions..They entertainment if fabulous and the social directors are creative and keep you busy if that is what you want..Truthfully once you pass the gates..there is NO need to go off premises until you depart from your visit..We hear that the hotel rooms will gradually be remodled over the next year or so..that would be an added plus..Not that the rooms are dirty..But an update is due..If you are looking for an enjoyable experience to celebrate the freedom of nudity than look no furture Cypress Cove Is the Place...

This was the 2nd time we stayed at Cypress Cove in 2 years and it is definitely better in May than it was in February, a lot warmer. This time we had the fortune to experience both the parlor room as well as the apartment. Simply put the parlor room is equivalent to a single room studio and the apartment has a separate bedroom as well as full kitchen and living room. The Lakeside Restaurant and Cheeks has good food. There are always activities going on but there are more participants with the winter crowd than the summer group. We love the place for it's relaxed atmosphere and large community where we love to walk.

Room Tip: If you will be in a group requiring 2 rooms, we suggest an adjoining parlor room with an apartment...

For myself it is always like coming home to go to Cypress Cove. Over the years have stayed there or visited several times with some periods of no visits. Recently have been visiting about 7-8 times a year due to running a travel club. There is always something to do and fun and friendly activities and clients. We enjoy the dances and the activities and knowing that club is fit for all the different variety of nudists/naturists. Some of our group are handicapped and they have access to facilities to enjoy the water as well as the natural beauty of the location. The prices with the resort taxes are a little higher than some other resorts but the food prices at Cheeks and Lakeside are reasonable. We always enjoy a naturally fun time.

Room Tip: You have 3 types of hotel rooms to choose from including Apartments with full cooking facilities. T...

I spent some time in Cypress Cove, bracketing time spent on a business trip. Cypress Cove has been reviewed a lot here, so let me just make a few comments. I stayed in a parlor room in the motel. It was fine - clean, good shower, comfortable bed, adequate air conditioning, OK towels, excellent soap and shampoos. If you have a second floor room, you have to climb the stairs - not a problem unless you are orthopedically challenged. WiFi is free although a bit slow. The grounds are great - immaculate, green. It is big - you can run several miles along its lanes and byways (without clothes!).The lake is beautiful but I didn't see anyone swim in it. The pools are fine. I swam laps in the smaller of the two. There were people just standing in the pool, but they tolerated two lap swimmers. I suspect if it got much busier lap swimming would have tough. The pools use chlorine - in one of them the chlorine was a bit on the heavy side. The smaller pool had a chair lift so a crippled person could be lowered into the pool. The large hot tub had a chair lift also. Cypress Cove is a retirement community, so there were lots of old people there - if you want to see beautiful bodies go to Les Roches Blanches in Cassis. I was there on a Friday and a Sunday - there were some young people there on Sunday. Surprisingly, a lot of the people there smoked, although my motel room was a non-smoking room. The Lakeside Restaurant was OK - they had tables outside and I asked the server if I could eat outside, she said that she preferred that I didn't. I had adequate fish and chips and a 'Caesar salad' that had iceberg lettuce and no whole anchovies. I had a good burger for lunch at Cheeky's, the bar. The staff is wonderfully nice and helpful and the people were very friendly. I think it is the best AANR place I have ever gone to.

All members of AANR or other nudist clubs or organizations are welcome.First time visitors to Cypress Cove discover that people come in all shapes and sizes and that, as far as our bodies are concerned, all of us have nothing to hide. Once you've socialized in the nude, you realize what an enormous impact what we wear has on who we are. Clothing can lock us into expected roles and behaviors, contributing to the tensions of daily life. You may use the lakefront to adjust at your own pace, letting the weather and comfort be your guide. Once you feel ready, take a dip in one of our heated swimming pools which are for our nude guests only. Our culture and values at Cypress Cove are based on very simple principles; we promote family oriented nudism, which should be wholesome and non-sexual. If you choose to visit Cypress Cove, you are accepting these core principles and agreeing to abide by them.We have great fun at our dances, but suggestive attire and/or dancing are not welcome. We appreciate a tender moment between two adults in love, but public displays of affection should be discreet and innocent. Adventures in the bedroom should always be kept private. Discussions of swinging and recruiting are definitely not welcome here. Our goal is to maintain a safe, non-threatening, non-sexual environment where our guests can truly relax and feel comfortable. If you agree, we hope to see you by the pool! ... more   less
