“fun 1/2 hour adventure”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

We just had some time one morning as we were heading to the airport and decided to do this. It was really fun--the boats are amazing--and loud--but they give you headphones to wear. We saw a mom gator with her little babies. Our captain was very knowledgable and after the ride we got to hold a small gator and ask more questions. Nice set up for the morning--don't need a whole day, maybe a couple hours. It is cheaper if you go in the morning.

“A great day out, highly recommended.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013 via mobile

Having been to the Orlando area twice before, decided to try some new things. Very much off the beaten track, with almost a complete lack of signage to guide you (use your satnav/GPS!!), this is definitely one of them and a day out you must do!!

Although the facilities are somewhat limited with no restaurant and very basic toilet facilities, the main purpose for your visit is to go out in an airboat and they certainly provide that!! Their purpose is to raise funds to help protect the wildlife, so don't expect a big commercial experience, which in a way is just right.

Despite lack of catering facilities there is a picnic area right next to the pier which is feee to use so take a picnic, they do sell snacks and cold drinks and a range of souvenirs (mostly Gator-related, needless to say).

No booking is necessary for most tours and they can also arrange transport if you don't have your own car.

They also take a group photo with a gator/airboat scene photoshopped onto your photo which is kept ready for you for when you return so you won't lose or damage the photo out on the water.

At times they bring out baby/small gators for up-close encounters (their jaws are taped up to save fingers of all ages) and although they don't allow you to take photos they will take one for you holding a gator for a small fee which goes towards the protection of the species and environment.

Take sunglasses and a hat on the hotter/sunny days (not many days in Florida that AREN'T hot) but be careful hat does not blow way during the ride as they do get up to quite some speed. Ear defenders and life jackets are provided and mandatory for kids.

Private, longer, tours also available at an enhanced price, as are evening tours when they use lanterns to seek out the gators using the reflection of their eyes to find them...

I would definitely recommend paying them a visit and we will be back next time we're there, too!! Oh, and don't forget to tip the driver/pilot/captain....!!!!

“A new and interesting experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013 via mobile

We had prepaid this tour before we came out so were looking forwards to it greatly. And it didn't disappoint. Fantastic staff especially the girls in the reception they were funny, chatty and very friendly both my boyfriend and I had a good giggle with them whilst waiting. Once on board the airboat the Guide Jon was friendly funny and very knowledgable which made the ride even more fun. Whilst out on the lake we saw a few alligators, lots of snakes and birds not to mention two beautiful American bald eagles. Also lots of cattle just meandering around in the water. Once back on land we got to have out photos taken holding a baby alligator called buttercup which was fun. Yes a worthwhile experience would highly recommend it to all!!!

“Don't Miss This!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks, see natures best and have fun on the airboat ride. Captain Jon, full of knowledge and experience, he took us to see Mother Alligators with their babies in their natural environment. Great to see the other side of Orlando.

“Not what I expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

For the dollar value this is not a bad excursion if all you want is an air boat ride. We took the thirty minute tour and would have been very disappointed if I had paid the extra for the longer tour. Bottom line this is just an air boat ride along the weedy shoreline of a lake. Don't expect to be sweeping through mangroves as per some of the promotional videos. As for the bird wildlife you will probably have seen all the birds along the roads or ponds during your travel. As for the few alligators I saw bigger ones in the holding pond at a local mini putt.
