It's not the Everglades but neither does it pretend to be. If you want to try the exhilaration of an airboat without a long drive from Orlando then try this. You still get to see the gators ( and even hold one if you wish). You get the inevitable photo shot which you can buy. Not cheap but in a good cause and you are on holiday. Try it!

I visited this some time ago and loved it. Years before I went to one in the Everglades and I think this is as good and not as far if you're staying in Orlando. I'll definitely be going again and taking my family to hunt for gators.

An adventerous twist on a girls weekend took us to Boggy Creek. Hurricance Sandy was headed towards Florida within a couple of days, but we took our chances. We saw no aligators, but had a complete BLAST! We opted for the 45 minute tour but it lasted just over an hour. We saw all sorts of birds (including 2 bald eagles) and had an amazing ride throughout the creek. We also stumbled upon cattle who had found themselves on an sandbar in the middle of the seemingly large body of water with no way out but to swim! Our guide apologized multiple times, but you can't control nature, and we certainly weren't disappointed with our trip!

I took the 45 minute airboat road which was more like an hour. Our guide was Captain Kirk so that was awesome right off the start. Nature is impossible to predict but he did everything he could to make sure we saw all the cool animals and we did. We got to check out a few big gators, a bunch of small ones, a bunch of turtles and birds, a couple of snakes and even caught a quick glimpse of a wild hog. When we got back there was a quick presentation by Ariel. She had a small gator named Bowzer and we all got to take a turn holding him and got our picture taken with him which was available for purchase. Overall it was great fun and a very unique experience that you can't do anywhere else and I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to the area.
