This was my fifth visit to Capones. As always, we opted to buy a drink to be let in early. Our name was called a short time later. Our server, Moxie offered to take our drink order but said she couldnt bring them until the cash bar closed up. She also remind us that we would be informed when we could go to the buffet.
5 minutes before the show began, the other server in the balcony, came over, told us and the table next to us. That we should have gone to the buffet a long time ago. After eating about 1/2 of our meal, we caught up with our server and asked about our drinks. She said she forgot and had to look for some clean glasses. We snuck down stairs as quietly as possible to get a second helping. The salad bar was already torn down, the carving station was gone and only meatballs, pasta and veggies were left on the buffet.
We never seen another server until a different one came around with the pictures available for purchase.
We were so disappointed. We enjoy the show so much, When we bought our tickets, the wife and I made small talk with the male cashier about the last time being there was a special daytime show , when they did a test run on a new script. He joked that the new script was still a work in progress and they returned to the original show.
Being nearby (Lakeland), we have tried all the dinner shows and in the past always enjoyed Capones for the food and show. Based on this visit, we wasted our money.
