Just returned from Vacation Village at Parkway and it was a great experience. True they do ask you to attend the breakfast for cheaper tickets but a no was enough. They did call each day about giving us a check for $124 to attend but again no was ok. No pressure. The units were wonderful. Clean and so well furnished. The jaccuzi was great and the size of the units is unbelievable. We have stayed at many Gold Crown resorts and this rates right up there with the best!

We got off to a bad start with some rude, unfriendly staff at the front desk and a issue with being put in a handicap accessible room. When I tried to get it changed to a regular room NOT facing the construction, I was told there were absolutely no other rooms, all had been assigned and there were no other options. It was only 2pm and I couldn't imagine this being the case. Of course when I escalated to the manager she was able to find me a room. Seems as if there were rooms coming available in the next hour that were being cleaned. The front desk staff were not friendly, didn't care and were just downright rude......
Once the check in fiasco was over we had a GREAT stay. We were in the newer buildings (8/9) and had both the A and B units. It was liked having two condos. My parents took the side with the partial kitchen and we had the other side with the full kitchen. The newer units have higher end furniture and they are decorated in warm inviting colors. I have stayed at Marriott's Vacation Club properties before and thought this might be a step down in quality. This was definately not the case. The rooms were wonderful, clean, stocked with everything one could need. We got a great deal through Armed Forces Vacation Club for $264 for the whole week (both units together)!.

The jacuzzi tub in the master bath was great and the newer units have washers & dryers in both the A & B sides. Everything was clean and we didn't have any other issues once we checked in. We enjoyed both the pool and the jacuzzi at the center of the buildings. The main section has a pool that tends to be shaded most of the day, but the newer buildings (8/9) have a pool to themselves. They are getting ready to open 2 more buildings soon and they will also have their own pool....

We definately will stay here again on a future visit.

My son and I stayed in Vacation Village at Parkway 10/1/05 to 10/8/05. It was terrific and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. We paid $229 for the week and found it through a Travelzoo special with RCI. Great bargain, as this room could easily have gone for $65+/night.

Our accomodation was a third floor 1 BR w/ "partial kitchen," which was more than adequate for us. I would call it an efficiency apartment. The BR and the living room each have a cable TV and VCR. You can shut the BR doors for privacy or watching different programs. We cooked many meals and fully used the 2 burner hotplate, electric skillet and pots and pans. The silverware, plates, cups, glasses etc. all matched and were clean. Having a fully equipped partial kitchen was a pleasant surprise. The linens, blankets, towels were all more than sufficient. We had an end unit and did not ever hear other guests whatsoever. The little patio is perfect for coffee in the morning, the living room and furnishings were all current and like new. Our unit included a stackable washer/dryer, again a very useful convenience. The combo microwave/convection oven was clean and like new and functioned perfectly. Space is utilized throughout efficiently and the bathroom is more spacious than usual.

The other people staying here were friendly and welcoming. We spent time at the pool and visited Disneyworld 3 days, only about 5 minutes away. We did not avail ourselves of the fish fry meals, games and craft activities scheduled daily but were pleased to find them as an option. One of the pools was closed for painting of the buildings but the other pool is plenty big and it was not a problem.

Check-in was pleasant and quick. They've built an easy to find new welcome/check-in center right off Arabian Nights Blvd at Hwy 192. I arrived late, about midnight, and called ahead per their request. Several staff were manning the counters and processed me courteously and without delay. Any sales pitch was non-existent. This is a well-run organization which clearly listens to the concerns of the guests. I would consider myself lucky to find this caliber of a deal again during my next trip.

We arrived at Vacation Village on 9/24 for a 1 week stay. Check in was a breeze although the front desk staff could have been a little more professional. We're not big complainers so it really didn't bother us to the point of affecting our vacation. When you go to the guest services desk to retrieve your parking pass, they will offer an incentive to go to their "breakfast". We declined and it wasn't a big deal.
Although several of the reviews we read warned against staying in the pool side rooms, we actually opted for one and never found it to be noisy. We stayed in a A unit in building 5. Our room was great and as others have stated had everything you could possibly need.
There were 4 grills right outside the 5 building and they definitely got used. There were 3 pools (2 adult and 1 kiddie) and 2 spas in the center of buildings 1-6, but one of the pool areas was closed for repairs.
The exercise facilities could have been better. There was plenty of cardio equipment but only 1 multi-use weight machine. They definitely could use a set of free weights. The computer room is small with only 3 stations, but there is dial-up access in the rooms.
The location was great as it was very close to shopping, restaurants, and Disney, and only 10 miles from Universal.
We would highly recommend Vacation Village at Parkway.

We spent a week at Vacation Village and found it to be better than we expected. Check in was a bit tedious because they try to sign you up for time share meetings.Once you politely say no thank you they don't bother you about it. The pool and hot tub are great, accomadations clean and the big t.v. was great. Food and shopping within walking distance but a car gives you more options. Disney only 2 miles away, very easy to get to.Staff friendly, overall a great place to vacation

This was the best hotel/condo I've stayed in. It had a full kitchen (which was stocked with all of the essentials) and 1 bedroom suite, which had a king size bed. There was a living room, where our son slept on a pull-out sofa bed....very comfortable for pullouts. The unit was immaculate and the heated pools (2 adult, 1 kids) were fabulous! We will definitely stay here again for our next visit to Orlando, FL. We recommend staying away from the pool-side rooms, as they could get a bit noisy.

My parents received a bonus compensation package when purchasing a timeshare through RCI, and gave me a voucher for a week stay for $250. I called, and was given a list of available weeks and resorts. I chose Vacation Village and hoped for the best. I had read all the reviews on this site, and was a little scared. I soon found out my fears were unfounded. Finding the check in was easy as pie. I was allowed to check in more than 4 hours early, because my room had already been cleaned.
I was surprised to find a very open, spacious and clean suite. We had the smaller unit a "B" unit in building 1.
Plenty of towels, dishes, plates, utensils, and closet space.
The pool area was beautiful, and Vincent the pool attendent was a total gentleman, and explained all the resort had to offer to us.
The bed could have been a little bigger, i love king size beds on vacation. Upon checking in i was solicited for the breakfast timeshare shennigans, which i declined. A few days later i was called back and offered $125/ea to listen to another timeshare speech, i declined it as well, and was never bothered again.
VV is located right off of Rt. 192 which has everything you could possibly want. Hundreds of Restaraunts, Shops, Outlets and more.
Super short ride to Disney parks.
Vacation Village is located in the same area as the Arabian Knights Dinner Show, so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. Using a discount ticket we received with our rental car, the tickets were $68 for the two of us.
The food was cheap buffet taste at best, the show was lackluster, and rather jokish.
We felt terribly slighted, and we had saved $30 off regular price.
Don't make the same mistake we did, go to Medievil Times instead.
The Nike Outlet store is within walking distance, and we visited it a few times.

Overall, we had a great experience, and would jump at another opportunity to visit.
