Stayed here for four nights as part of a graduation trip with a friend. It had beautiful grounds and themed rooms. Ours was a Little Mermaid themed room. Room was clean and well-maintained, and air-conditioning was a godsend in the heat. If you are fans of Disney movies such as Little Mermaid, Lion King, Cars or Finding Nemo, this resort is a pleasant trip down memory lane. Convenience of MagicBand to enter room and parks or make purchases could not be understated. Service was great though our Spanish-speaking receptionist could have been clearer and friendlier in her approach.

Cons of this experience was the lack of basic amenities usually found in hotels, such as complimentary water or kettle. As it's a 'value' resort, this may be expected but for the price already paid, such amenities should be provided. The size of the resort necessitated a 5-10 min walk from the rooms to the food court for stuff such as hot water or even medication. This proved to be an inconvenience to my friend who fell sick on the third day of our trip.

We stayed here for 7 nights and had a really good time. The room is good for families as it has a sep living area with a queen bed n a sofa bed. It has a microwave too. The nemo pool is the highlight with a splash station where the kids had a blast. It's v easy to get to any park from here with their shuttle service which is very quick and convenient. The restaurant down is self service but has a lot if food options from salads, pizzas, burgers,Asian, pasta, kids meals. So I would def recommend this resort:)

We are DVC members, so we have not stayed in a value in a few years. My kids really wanted to try Art of Animation though. I was excited too, I wanted to see all of the décor. We stayed one night in a Cars Suite. The room was great. There were 6 of us and it was big enough. It was nice having the 2 bathrooms. The theming was great. The cars sectioned has its own quiet pool which was nice at night to relax. We walked around the whole resort, which is like an attraction. Disney did a great job with this place. It is great. The Finding Nemo pool was amazing. It is a salt water pool and has sounds in the water. We ate at the resort twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The food court was very good. It was a nice variety. We also liked that you can use the Tables in Wonderland discount there. It is a value resort and it does have that feel. It is loud and crowded in the main areas. We loved it though and will stay there again to tey out one of the other rooms.

The themes of art of animation and the grounds are wonderful. The kids really enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing all of the characters. They also loved the big blue pool and hearing Bruce talk to them under water. We stayed in a little mermaid room. I recognize that it is a value resort, but I found the room lacking. We typically stay in a moderate or deluxe resort and I missed the little things ie. glasses rather than paper cups, shampoo and conditioner rather than a combined bottle. My biggest complaint is the lack of a coffee maker in the room. I have never been to a hotel that didn't provide a coffee maker. The last thing I want to do is trek 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Overall, it is a good value and the kids loved it. However, I won't be staying in a value resort again as my coffee first thing in the morning is worth the extra money. My kids and husband agree that I am much nicer after my coffee kicks in :).

Room Tip: Stay in a suite - they have coffee makers

We always enjoy our stay at the Disney value resorts. We were in the Little Mermaid section by Ursula. It was about a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. Little Mermaid has a nice size pool with free life vests available to use. The laundry facility is right by the pool and very clean. About 2.00 to wash and 2.00 to dry- these dryers are new, so they actually get your load dry in less than one cycle! Rooms are very small but clean and themed in a way that our two girls loved. AOA has a large dining area with lots of food choices- including vegetarian. The best value we found was ordering a large pizza for under 15.00. It was more than large enough for our family of four. The make your own pasta was also always good- it will feed 2 people. Overall, a well- manicured resort with cute themed areas and pools at a reasonable rate for Disney.

This is a fairly new hotel, clean and new. But it looks like the fail in service and lacks the Disney Magic. Seems that the staff and crew do not possess the magic if Disney compared to other Disney Hotels I've stayed in. Room maintenance took them 7 hours to come over to my room after 4 calls. I'm greatly disappointed with this hotel. The towels are small and thin. No bedroom slippers, lacks in toiletry amenities such as the toothbrush. Not worth it. Find another Disney hotel.
